  I had my driveway redone and told by the guy that he can't do about 3 feet of it because the City told him that he could not go down to the drain on the street. The City told him that since he was going to go down to the drain that it would be fine. I told ****** Construction this and they told me that it would be $2,000 to do it. I would be happy if he would come back to finish the job.

  This is ***** ******, from ****** Construction the owner of the company. The customer's driveway was tore out with rock into it for multiple weeks. It was paint lined and walked over before any worked started by Mr. and Mrs. Brown. They approved of the area of work to be done, a paid a deposit for that area of work to be done, and signed a contract. They had plenty of time to call ****** Construction back to change the scope of job, which they did not. Mr. and Mrs. ***** was never told that it was impossible and we never called the city for it. Due to past issues from multiple counties near them for hooking into city streets, we were advised not to do it. So we tell the customers to contact the city if they want to, but we never do it for them. It is the customer's responsibility and not the contractor's. When discussing this issue Mrs. ***** never filed a complaint until after work was done and paid for. That says how satisfied she was with the work. It was not until almost a week later that she called with this issue. The customer was quoted a price for coming out and finishing the work, which customer denied. We give an additional price just for labor and materials, which customer also denied. ****** Construction is not responsible for work that is not included, and that is yet to been done for any job. The measurements of work was included in two customer contracts, which we have totals of. When Mrs. ***** was asked why she didn't say anything she openly she just didn't think of it at the time because they were dealing with family issues. Another thing ****** Construction is not responsible for is making decision for you, that a customer has not thought of themselves if is not prevalent to the job we're doing. Thank You

  I am rejecting this response because:

  he did not tell truth.  When I confronted him about the City, he said it wasn't his responsibility it was mine.  He didn't tell me this until after the fact.  He kept saying he didn't have asphalt.  He said after I said I would dig up the rocks that he could do it for $1500.00.
