      On February 10th, JC Fencing started replacing my fence. From the beginning, there was some alarming actions. Initially they stated that if I wanted to keep the one new side of my fence they could quote under $6600. Presumably, they quoted the entire fence. Nope! They added $768 to replace that side. My fiancé witnessed the exchange. They revised that fee to $1K because they had to re-rent the equipment (poor scheduling on them). I opted to wait a week for them to re-rent it naturally and then begin to avoid the extra cost. They finally finished, but 3-4 weeks late. My fiancé noticed flaws with their work immediately. The fence door didn't latch and had defects. Weeks later they replaced the door and the replacement had issues too. They claimed "treated boards" but many began to warp immediately. My fiancé called them on April 13th and was told they would call him back. April 18th, he texted them pictures of the warped and uneven boards. They said they would come that week. April 25th, he was told someone came, took photos, and they'd be back tomorrow. April 28th, my fiancé received a text with pictures stating the owner's pregnant wife had a serious accident, and he would finish the fence asap. June 16th, they claimed they sent someone to look at the fence the week prior. They said they would try to squeeze me in. July...NOTHING! My fiancé finally gets a call August 2nd after he mentioned "legal action" in a text. They immediately came out and replaced some boards but ran out and would have to come back. They never did. We asked about painting the fence. They quoted $500 2x (Feb/Aug) then up'd the price to $700 on Aug 15th but we settled at $500. They mentioned were immediately available to retrieve the deposit for painting though. My fiancé told them no because they never keep their word (schedule), and we just spent $240, it will be ready when they came to paint. Sept 15, "We'll come tomorrow". We called Oct 7th, "I'll call you back". We are done with them.

      We replaced the gate and latches, and then replaced the bowed boards.  The last time I spoke with the customer she stated that everything was fine and she was happy with everything replaced, If she has anymore problems she is more than welcome to call me.

      I am rejecting this response because: My fiancé and I have been dealing with this for a long time. Several delays, random price increases, and failure to show on multiple occasions from JC Fencing. I asked my fiancé to take lead and communicate on my behalf because he noticed more inconsistencies in work than I did and he understood how the warranty of work is applied. JC Fencing had no problem communicating with my fiancé or performing some work as he spoke on my behalf. The evidence is in the text conversation was submitted in the original complaint. We had to threaten to take legal action for them to come and change out warped boards. They left and they still had several boards remaining. Months later, my fence still has multiple boards that need to be replaced, I have $250 in unused paint, and my fence is now multi-colored due the weathering from it not being painted. JC Fencing still needs to come replace multiple boards as agreed upon in the message with my fiancé. I would also like a refund for the paint that we purchased based off their word that they were coming to paint the fence. Due to the fence being disproportionately weathered in certain places, we will now have to get another fence company to assess the current condition/damage of the fence before we can think about painting it. Waiting on them to fix our fence took us into the harshest part of the year with the fence being relatively unprotected from the fall and winter elements. They should also be liable if there is any more damage to the fence due to their failure to fulfill their warranty of work and the agreement to paint the fence which incurred cost on our behalf.
