Failure to Provide Warranty Service: RF Pool Restoration restored my inground pool steps at our residence on 9 Jun 2023. On 28 Sep 2023 it was identified the finish on the steps was coming off and discharging into the pool water. *** ****** with RF Pool Restoration was notified via text on this date with photos. He text me back on 29 Sep 2023 and I spoke with him. Our pool was being winterized by another pool contractor on 29 Sep 2023 so the water was lowered for winterization. Mr. ****** stated he would come take a look on the afternoon of 29 Sep 2023. I was able to drain at least “another" 10,000 gallons of water in anticipation of his arrival (he was notified of this) so he could fully inspect the the entire pool staircase. He did not show nor did he call. I left him a message on 29 Sep 2023 via text and voice mail. He text me at 10:05 pm that evening that his day did not go as planned and that he would call me on 30 Sep 2023 while traveling to Kentucky. He did not call me or respond to text on 30 Sep 2023 or to my text on 31 Sep 2023. I left another voice message for Mr. ****** on 3 Oct at 10:59 am and have not ever hear back from him as of the date of this complaint. I feel the workmanship was faulty and I believe I am due to have my money returned. I will now have to incur the cost of re-filling my pool up to the appropriate level for winterization and having the pool liner restretched. The pool must be fully winterized due to the time of year. These additional charges (without being able to address the damaged area) was a total waste and would not have been incurred had Mr. ****** kept his word and returned to address the damage as he stated. His silence in making good on this matter is unprofessional. (Note: A two year warranty was written on the receipt which is valid until 9 Jun 2025).Business response

I do not have a problem taking care of the paint malfunctioning. Consumer drained his swimming pool not sure why he did that. I do not have a problem fixing his steps. I stopped by the customer's house and I did apologize and I informed the customer that I am terrible busy. I texted the customer late last week and I informed him that I was available to do his steps the next day and I never heard a word from him.Customer response

On 14 Nov 2023 I identified that the phone number for RF Pool Restorations was blocked in my phone. Several other frequently called numbers were also blocked with unknown origin. I did not find a text from RF Pool Restorations like it was mentioned in the merchant response, but I did find two voice messages dated 2 & 6 Nov 2023 which were not personally received. Since this technology issue caused the inability to discuss this issue further with RF Pool Restorations, I feel I should change my response from rejecting his response to being open to have the merchant correct the faulty work in the early Summer 2024 (when the pool will be opened up again). I contacted Mr ****** with RF Pool Restorations on 14 Nov 2023 and explained to him that his phone number in my phone had been blocked and I appologized for not receiving his calls. He stated he will be out in the early Summer 2024 after I notify him of my pool opening. Mr ****** has made numerous promises that have not been kept previously, so I remain cautious. I feel I need to give him another try due to the technology error. Please change this complaint as resolved with merchants promise to return in early Summer 2024 for correction. I respectfully reserve my right to file another complaint in Summer of 2024 if this complaint is not resolved.
