Bright Star Ambulance overturned into a parking space and struck 2022 ****** Sentra, never provided vehicle insurance information then left the scene. ************** report JH212188(hit and run). The crew and owner refused to provide the companys vehicle insurance and now refusing to pay for repairs. On 04Apr24 at 0920 hours, Bright Star Ambulance #****(Il license plate#******* driven by ****** Ireland traveling southbound on ******************* when she overturned the ambulance rig, attempting to park, striking the 2022 ****** Sentra, that was parked in front of ******************************, causing substantial front-end damage. The BrightStar Ambulance crew was transporting the next-door neighbor for dialysis. The ambulance was not on a critical urgent of this transport, no lights nor sirens. The female driver verbally identified herself as ********************(never showed driver's license nor work id) provided her supervisor name who was on her personal cellphone, the male on the phone identified himself as ******* *************, the director. The ambo crew was asked for the company's vehicle insurance, they never provided the information and left the scene. ******* refused to provide the companys vehicle insurance then expressed that he did not want to go through their insurance, because he didnt want HIS companys auto insurance raising prices to rise. ******* was asked multiple times, stating that he will pay for the repairs out of pocket and also agreeing to her having a rental vehicle during the time of the repairs. He insisted that She get quotes first. The quote- +$5,700, ******* paid $3,000 to repair shop, to ensure the vehicle will be fixed. The car was left on 22Apr24 and now he stopped answering calls/texts. Final price is $7,000. She has been without transportation for 3wks and now the remaining balance is $4,000 for repairs. Further investigation revealed, ********************************** who is the owner of the private ambulance service.
