I am sending this complaint in regards to some awful and painful dental work I received. In Sept. 2022 I had to have my 4 tooth cantilever bridge replaced due to wear and age on the lower right side of my mouth. My former dentist had sold his practice in August 2022 to **************. I was assured that this new dentist was great so I decided to try him. I needed a replacement bridge just like I had but was told that that type of bridge is not made anymore and was urged to get implants. I said I could not afford them and wanted another bridge. After much discussion, he agreed to make me a 3 tooth bridge but only if the teeth underneath were good. I did need 1 root canal which he did very painfully. It took 3 additional appts to finally be able to cement it in. On those visits I had to see Dr. ******* because, as I found out, ************** lived in ******** and rarely came into to Darien Dental even though he had assured me he would be doing all my dental work. At this point the old bridge was off so I had no choice but to go ahead with it. Every step Dr. ******* took he had to either call or send photos to ************** for approval. After several correction appts, the bridge was put in November 2022. This bridge sits higher than other teeth, it looks like 2 big teeth instead of 3 normal ones, it is always irritated and sore, and food gets stuck under it because it does not sit right. During these 2 months, I had to eat on the opposite side of my mouth causing another crown to become loose. I went back in December to have the crown re-cemented but Dr. ******* refused. When I questioned him be became rude, got up, said he could not help me and left the room. I have tried several times to contact ************** but he refuses to respond. I even sent a registered letter that he signed for but will not call me. I did get a 2nd opinion and that dentist said he could do what I wanted to begin with. I am sending copies of all correspondence I have sent, the Amer. Dental Assoc, AG of Ill.
