I have a charge from a motel on my account. I spoke with ******* ****** & her supervisor. I asked to dispute the charge( almost $70.00). Because I stayed on 5/15/2023 (********* **** ** **********). They told me they could not charge my card. So I withdrew$200.00 on 5/15/2023 & paid the motel in cash. I ask to dispute the charge ON 5/16/2023. ******* said she would send me the form & I could sign it through the email. (FORM was never sent.) Also the agreement was that if I got direct deposit that they would credit my account for $100.00 after 30 days. I had 4 direct deposit made & never got the credit. Her Supervisor put a hold on my account & now they are saying I owe over $75.00. SO I never got the form to dispute the charge.( I also talked to *** @ ********* ****). So I want them to clear my account & close it & Credit the $100.00 for the direct deposit & File a dispute against the motel. I have the documents but I am unable to upload them at this time.Initial Complaint

They charged me extra overdraft fees everytime I over drafted. Refused to give any more "courtesy fee removals" for scamming me every time I turn around. No empathy, just people reading a script.Initial Complaint

Several months ago a strange account popped up on my app. I called to inquire and was told that it was a bug and they weren’t sure what the account was. I let it go and moved on. Fast forward to a couple of days ago; I transferred $300 from my savings to checkings to cover any auto payments I had until payday. I accidentally transferred the money into the mystery account. I called the next morning to get the transfer reversed. I was told after several days the mystery account was a 15 year old credit card debt. They agreed to reverse the transfer but authorized a $706 payment to the mystery account without my consent. In the several years that I’ve had this account this debt was never mentioned and now they’ve wiped out 2/3 of my savings.Initial Complaint

I have been a member of Land of Lincoln Credit Union for over 10 years. I have had personal loans, auto loans and I currently have a HELOC which was opened in March of 2018. I have used them as my primary checking account with my paychecks being direct deposited. I recently reached out to my loan officer regarding financial hardship which was out of the office so I was sent to another loan officer. I was advised to contact their collections department and when I did, I was told to contact my original loan officer as I wasn't currently delinquent. After being told to talk to different department, I was contacted by the vice president of consumer loan operations. She precedes to tell me that the fact that I contacted multiple people was suspicious and offered no help. I explained that I was seeking some sort of assistance to prevent falling behind on my HELOC payments. I was told there were no options available. I explained that I was able to do a skip payment in 2020 and interrogated as if I were lying. I offered to forward the form I signed with the information and was told no but that never should have happened. I explained my household income had been reduced due to covid and was told I had no option but to pay what I could and try not to become more than 45 day delinquent. She spoke down to me and treated me as if I was ignorant through the entire phone call. I was told to only contact the collections department from now on. I feel that I was trying to be proactive by contacting them to prevent becoming deliquant. I received absolutely no resolution and I am still struggling with my current payment of almost $800.Business response

Ms. ****** has been in contact with several of our credit union’s representatives. Based on our records beginning 11/2/2021, all representatives have reminded Ms. ****** that her note affords her a 20-day grace period that she may utilize. Our collections department has also informed Ms. ****** of the credit union’s willingness to work with her on new payment arrangements at the appropriate time. Our records indicate, Ms. ****** received a 30-day COVID-19 payment deferral in April 2020 within the timeframe our board had approved these types of deferments.
We currently do not offer COVID-19 loan payment deferrals; however, Ms. ****** and the co-borrower, may sit down with a loan officer to discuss the timing and extent of loan restructuring. Both Ms. ****** and the co-borrower would need to bring in their current financial obligations to qualify them for the new loan arrangements. Per our policies and procedures workout arrangements begin when the borrower is 30 days past due and require approval by the credit union’s Workout Committee. I sympathize with Ms. ****** and her hardships, and I hope this workout loan will bring some ease to her situation.
