May 14, 2022 Mejia Landscaping (****************** Mejia) planted a new sod in the front of my house. Part of the sod was actually dry, and had to be replaced for which I had to pay additional amount, which I was fine with. The problem started after they applied 3 weeks later the weed killer on the front lawn and the existing beautiful lawn in my backyard. Two days later after the application of the "weed killer" the lawn started to change color and became ***** with some areas completely dry. When I called the Mejia landscaping I was told they do not know why it happened (stated they have the product from the same place?) and I was asked to water the lawn everyday and it should regrow. They do not placed proper sign or flagging that weed killer was applied. After I asked for the sign they brought hand made sign stated" new sod, dogs not allowed" without any warning that weed killer was applied. It is over one month since it happened, most of the lawn is ***** with some areas completely dry. I attempted to contact the business several times and ask someone to come over to look at it and talk to me. No one came to talk to me. Business secretary hung up the phone on me. Last time I contacted ****************** Mejia over the phone 7/2/2022. He told me he will come on Monday, 7/4/22, however he did not come as he promised. The receipt for sod planting has wrong address, for application of the weed killer they have requested cash, but have not provided the receipt. I am asking this company to take a look at my lawn and see what can be done. Some of the lawn has to be probably replaced, including the part on my neighbor's side which was sprayed by them probably accidently.
