      On March 22, 2022 I ordered a cemetery monument for my husband and myself (future) from Gast Monuments. I made a deposit of $4,650. I was told that due to Covid and supply chain issues, it would take a while. After several months I started asking for updates approximately monthly. In Nov ****************************************************************************** about 2-3 weeks for carving. In December 2023 I was asked to pay the cemetery fee of $1,593, which I paid and ******************* has stated they received. Still no monument, carved and ready to install. Now, no answers to my emails. If I cannot get the completed monument, I would accept the granite being transferred to another monument company for carving. Worst case, I'd like a refund of the $4,650.

      My mother order monument for my dad on August 12, 2022 paid 2800 deposit with remaining balance 5715 after two months after they supposed to get stone we supposed to submit design, and once they done supposed to be installed on cementary.We been talking to them back and forth they said we didn't approve design yet me I myself talk to ********************* and approved it in text messages and email they took the other 2800 to complete the monument its end of march 2024 and they won't contact us about anything leaving multiple messages my moms english is not that good and we havent heard nothing from them, in order to install they had to pay for installation application according to cementary they never did we tried to contact them I work and live far away from my mother and hadn't had time to really handle situation we would like a refund and find someone else as been 2 years and my mom doesn't really have money to buy another monument she used insurance money and I think its extremly cruel for people in that bussiness to treat griving people like that.Im having trouble with scanner at her home but im happy with sending bills and screenshots of what ever is needed My Email is ***************************

      I ordered a monument for my deceased mother. I worked with **** to complete the order. They poured the foundation at the cemetery, but have not communicated in weeks regarding the delivery of our order after cashing our final check. Despite my constant attempt at communication, **** has not emailed or called me back regarding the order and it is extremely unprofessional and are refusing to deliver the final product to the cemetery.

      March 31, 2023 I contacted Gast Monuments **** And requested for a plaque to be engraved. I sent all details to **** and they sent back to me with their proposal for inscription plus fee. I approved their proposal and paid $650. And was promising that they will engrave the name on plaque between Fall and Winter 2023 if weather permitting. I haven't heard any update on the order I made until October 12, 2023. Gast Monuments *** sent an email about backlog and delaying with orders also promised to send another email with their finalized schedule when they will do the engrave the plaque for my beloved deceased friend. I still haven't heard anything from them. February 07, 2024, I went to my friend burial place and his plaque is still blank with no name on it. I called and left 4 messages on their voice-mail but never get a phone call from them still.

      Paid $390 with MasterCard on 2/1/23 for headstone engraving to reflect date of death of my mother. Received generic email on 10/12/23 indicating there has been a delay, and that confirmation will be given when my job will be scheduled. I have not heard anything since. I followed up with a phone call today, 1/30/24, with two separate emails on 1/20/24 and 1/28/24 requesting status. No answer to any of my communications.

      As of today, I am aware that other consumers and Catholic Cemeteries of ******* has had the same issue as **** placed an order for a gravestone on Jan 20 2023. I was told repeatedly that the gravestone would be finished and installed in fall 2023.I put up with incorrect and duplicate billing and lack of communication from **** for a long time, hoping for the best.On Nov 16 2023 I was told that materials were on backorder and my project was on hold indefinitely. The consumer experience has been so odd that I no longer trust what Im being told by employees.I have not received a reply from anyone at the company since Nov 16 2023.Timeline:1/20/2023 signed Gast Monuments contract/quote and paid $800 deposit 1/24/2023 received order confirmation email from Gast Monuments and estimate completion of Fall 2023 5/10/2023 received and approved memorial rendering from Gast Monuments 5/30/2023 was charged $570 balance by Gast Monuments (auto-billed, was not due until project was completed by the shop)6/28/2023 DUPLICATE charge of $570 by Gast Monuments (auto-billed), ******************* told me she would issue a refund on 6/30/2023 but this did not happen 7/5/2023 I needed to file a dispute with my credit card company (Chase) for the duplicate $570 charge to be reversed 8/14/2023 ANOTHER charge of $570 by Gast Monuments (auto-billed), ******************* voided the transaction and removed my credit card information that was saved in their system 8/17/2023 ******************* estimated early fall installation 11/16/2023 Exec Asst tells me the material is backordered due to a flood in Barre, ** [this was not mentioned by ******************* on 8/17/2023 even though it happened in July]; orders are delayed with no ETA 1/1/2024 I sent an email to **** 1/10/2024 I sent an email to **** 1/15/2024 I sent an email to **** requesting refund of balance ($570)1/23/2024 left voicemail for **** 1/29/2024 sent email to **** requesting cancellation and full refund

      In fall of 2022, I ordered a gravestone for my deceased Mother and paid Gast Monuments $1570 in full in January 2023. Proof of payment and **** invoice attached. I called and sent ******************* several emails to follow up and no calls or email replies received. No stone was ever made or installed. I have since purchased a gravestone from another vendor for $1700 who built the stone and installed it in less than a month.

      On June 7, 2021 a contract was signed for a headstone for my late father. My mother, ******************************* gave **** a down payment on June 16, 2021 in the amount of $3101.00 and on November 17, 2021 they asked for the 2nd payment of $1,551.00 which **** paid. To date, December 5, 2023 we have NO headstone.

      A bronze marker was ordered from Gast Monuments on 6/13/22. The total bill will be $2831.50. A deposit of $1650 was made at the time. I was told that delivery/installation was estimated to be sometime in the spring of 2023.On May 5, 2023 I called **** and spoke with ******** who told me they were still waiting to receive the marker and she would call me with an update.On August 30, 2023 my email to ******** was returned "address not found" and I called and left a voicemail Sept 6, 2023 I spoke with ********* at ******************** to see if they had any info. There is a foundation fee of $395 that **** was supposed to pay, but they have not heard form ****. ********* said she would try calling them, but called me back saying she was unable to reach anyone.Sept 7, 2023 - I spoke with *******************. She informed me she would email ********* about the permit fee and email the foundry for an update.Oct 25, 2023 - I spoke with ***** at ****. She told me she would provide a credit card number to St **** for the permit today and email me a confirmation receipt. She will email the foundry for an update and get back to me.Oct 27, 2023 - ***** at **** called to let me know she was unable to reach ******* at the manufacturer but will call again Monday. I told her the permit fee at St ****'s has still not been paid. She said she will check on it and pay it herself Monday.Dec 1, 2023 - I spoke with ********* at St ****'s. She confirmed that ***** from **** called to get the foundation fee amount ($395) but did not make a payment. No payment has been made as of this date. I then called both ***** and her assistant ***** and left voicemails and followed up with an email.On Oct 5, 2023 I filed a complaint online with the office of the attorney general. Ref # OAG2023-000130411 On Dec 1, 2023 I am filing this complaint with the Better Business Bureau
