Since November my H33343630**3038333835H bill has been over $400. It is going up $100 each month. The current bill is $643 with taxes. I am home that much. There is not much on while I am not home. My H33343630**3038333835H bill is twice has high as everyone around me. There are homes with many people in it that are paying much less than me. They have refused to test any thing on their side. My disconnect kept throwing. I paid to have it replaced. They said that would cause a ***** on my house. They thought that would help. It hasn&#**;t changed anything at all. I paid an H33343630**3038333835Hian to come test my house twice to make sure nothing was drawing more than it should. My old home was not insulated well and had old equipment and it was half of what I am paying now.Customer response

Representatives have spoken to ******************** (member) several times over the last few years. An experienced journeyman lineman verified in February 2022, December 2022 and December 2023 that our equipment servicing ********************' property is functioning properly.
The member's higher than normal electric usage correlates directly with cold weather events. For example, on January 14th, the temperature dipped to 5 degrees. This was the member's highest usage day at 296 kWh.
The residence does not appear to be properly insulated which is not energy efficient. See picture uploaded that shows missing underpinning which allows cold weather direct access.
Most recently, we installed a double meter socket to confirm the meter is functioning properly. The meter socket was installed on 2/14 and removed on 2/16. Both meters showed identical readings at 192 kWh. This rules out the meter being faulty.
We believe the member's residence lacks insulation and needs improved heating source(s) for efficiency.

I am rejecting this business response. They listed that they plugged in a double meter for 2 days but it was on for less than 24 hours. They took pictures of the underpinning while I was working on my waterline. The pictures they added hold no value. My house has been reinsulated recently and has a brand new energy efficient furnace.Business response

We have tested SIEC's equipment using normal testing standards. We do not test equipment on the member's side of the electric meter. Testing proved SIEC's equipment is working properly and, therefore, our position is that no bill adjustment is necessary.
