Purchased Car July 15,2023 Had Car inspected by local mechanic and was advised that Brakes are bad and should be replaced as soon as possible. Contacted Deal and was advised to bring car and wallet to fix breaks. Very condescending and unhelpful

This compliant is from the transaction to trade in a 2018 ******* Navigator L for a 2016 Tesla Model X 90D on 5/23/22. To be clean, this complaint has nothing to do with the vehicle(s) that were part of this transaction. There are two components to this complaint:1. Sales person and Finance Director both agreed to and acknowledged a trade-in value of $59,000 for the 2018 ******* Navigator L. When the **** of sale was presented, there were actually two bills of sale; 1. that represented a straight up purchase of the vehicle, and 2. with a purchase of the vehicle plus my trade values at $55,000. Both sales person and Finance Director indicated in the dealership and post-transaction that I received a "credit" of $3,850 since if I was purchasing outright I would be paying $4,641 in sales tax ($791 is on the **** of sale). Their reasoning to me was that this was a credit which justified the reduction in the trade-in value. Upon my further research I have since realized that this is an incorrect application of sales tax law. The way this should have been outlined on the **** of sale was a trade-in value of $59,000 plus sales tax at $511 (instead of $791), so I should be due $4,280. Correspondence is attached.2. Dealer indicated that the financing company, Penfed, required an additional $1,100 down, payable by check or Zelle, which was completed immediately with payment sent to ******************************** Upon inquiry with Pedfed this was not indeed the case per their records. Dealer did not provide **** of Sale in package so I can justify proper accounting was completed at time of sale for how this was accounted for and if this was indeed correct. I would like a copy of the **** of Sale to justify.I am looking for a refund of $4,280 due to the way sales tax was portrayed and value incorrect value of trade-in was represented on **** of Sale. As well, if the $1,100 "down payment" accounting does not add up I am also seeking this refund, for a potential refund of $5,380.
