On 5-24-2023 ** ******* came to my home at 830am to collect a $200 deposit and to drop off a list of things he was suppos** to do. He was to paint my porch step, awning and medallion. Total cost was going to be $400. I notic** that he had cash** the $200 check immediately. He put on the invoice that job was to be complet** within a week. Come to find out ** has a man by the name of Randy Moll doing his work for him. They both advertise their phone number separately in the local newspapers. Randy came to my home on June 1st. All Randy did was slap some paint on my little porch step. No cleaning or scraping old paint off. He was at my home for a half hr. He did not leave the paint either. For the past month ** has told me multiple times that he was going to finish the job. Have not heard from ** in the last week. The paint job to the step is already starting to bubble up and chip off. They 2 guys are running a scam and do terrible work. ** is nothing but a LIAR and thief.

I'm writing you back on the complaint by ******* ******.  First, I did not have a contract with Miss ******, I had an appointment with her daughter, Kristen ******.  I don't know how Miss ****** got involved.  We went several times to finish the job.  She finally call** me and said she was on vacation.  I reschedul** the job and again nobody was home.  Finally, I got a hold of her and she said forget it.  I finish** enough work for the $200.00 deposit and she had somebody else.  There is no scam.

He did some power washing. He miss** some area's there is still mold, dirt that is still left . They had a young kid about the age of 18 years old doing the power washing. They were suppose to power wash the wooden deck and then stain and waterproof the deck, they were suppose to power wash the concrete. They did not do a good job of that. The concrete still has dirt on it. They were suppose to take down six shutters and clean them and repaint them. They paint** them with a black gloss paint and I want** black satin paint. They were to purchase three new shutter's and put them up. Those were ok, but the other six that were taken off and back install**. He install** them crook** and some are higher than others. He was suppose to paint very little of the foundation and paint it white. They did paint it, but in some areas it looks like it ne**** to coats of paint. When I seen the mess they were making I did not want them to finish painting the doors. With the doors paint** he was going to originally charge me $5464.00, but he did not paint the doors. I told him that was way too high and he said he would knock off $1000 and that left the total at $4464.00. I told him I want** cr**it for the doors that he did not paint. He charg** me for the doors, and I told him to take off the labor for the doors that he did not paint and I can not see where he has done that on the receipt. I paid him $4000.00 and he want** another $400.00 the very last day and I would not pay him. I gave him two weeks to make it right. He scratch** my siding while trying to put the shutter's up. I would like to see a $1000 or $2000 refund** back to me.

First of all my name is ****** ******* and I'm a handyman not a contractor.  This is my reply to ***** ******'s complaint.  First of all ***** ****** sign** the original contract for $5,464.00 then she saw we were getting the job done she ask** for a discount.  I gave her $1000 off.  So the contract was for $4464.  She paid me as we complet** the work.  She was happy and had no complaints with me or my workers.  She said one of my workers was 18, he actually was 30 and his owner 67.  She *illegible*

When they came in from ****'s due to a return. We ne** back to finish the job.  Then she would -- you --- the balance of $440.00.  She push** the job us not with *illegible*

Imm**iately after they got done they want** their money right away and I glanc** at the project they were suppose to complete and they did not do a good job.  It was terrible and no person with 30 years of experience would do work like that. They quality of work was terrible.  They didn't do what I told **.  I bought the stain for the patio and his worker brought his own waterproof stain and it did not do the job.  My wood was so ag** and I knew what type would work and I told them what I want** and they didn't use it. Instead of using the stain I bought for them to use, they ignor** me and took it upon themselves to use some other stain.  I also told ** to tell his worker that I want** satin paint and he made me believe that the gloss would be fine and its not its way to shiny. Again they ignor** my request and took it upon themselves to use a paint that they thought would work, and again, it didn't. They didn't put up the shutters even and some are overlapping my windows.  They were suppose to paint the southside foundation and some of what they paint** on the lip they didn't cover either.  Behind the poles was never paint** and also other areas were not paint**. ** is not choosing to say what all he did wrong.  He's making it sound like he tri**.  The next day the worker came back and I told the worker how unhappy I was.  I ask** him why he didn't use the satin paint and he told me he didn't know they made satin paint.  ** would not itemize the bill so I could see what I was paying for.  He said he couldn't do that.  I also told ** I could not read his writing and he intimidat** me. So he put the labor and costs in one bill. I want** them to paint 3 exterior doors and later told them I didn't want them paint**.  He wrote cr**it for the 3 doors with no cr**it amount.  If he says it was the 1000 dollars he took off its not true and I'm not seeing any cr**it that was suppose to come to me. They are very intimidating and they make you feel like your stupid and they want** to railroad the whole thing and make me feel like I'm stupid because I am a woman and treat** me like I don't know what I am talking about.  I do know what I am talking about, I am just older now and cant do it myself so I trust** them to do the work, especially since they claim to have 30 years of experience, which they clearly don't.  It took me a long time to save this 4000 dollars and they did an insufficient, low quality job and did not complete everything they were suppose to. He tri** to overcharge me and I do not like the way he does business. Think he is a shyster who took advantage of an elderly woman.   I would like half of my money back.  The remaining half is more than enough to cover the rest of his expenses. They did buy the paint** and paint** 3 sets of shudders.
