I lost my card and somebody made two transactions on my account. I called the bank and they cancelled my card and told me they would reimburse me for the amount that was fraudulently taken. To date I have not received my money back and the bank keeps giving me the run around.Customer response

My card was stolen and someone withdrew $240 out of my checking account at the **** My checking account was negative so my bank withdrew money from my savings account and now my savings account is in the negatives too. The bank is not willing to reimburse me for the $240 that was stolen from me and is charging me $199.31. I do not understand what I am being charged for when I was stolen from.Business response

Member was notified on 4/10/24 and 5/6/24 explaining the dispute on his account was investigated and found there was no error on the credit union's part. There is no refund due to member at this time. ************ is welcome to contact our ******************* at ********************* if he didn't receive the two letters sent to him.

We made our minimum $50.00 payment with ******** ********* in Belleville, IL through their shared branch services for 1st Mid America Credit Union on 06/10/2022. The teller that processed the transaction reversed the payment twice because when she sent the receipt it was in very small print so her supervisor trainer apologized for the receipt. The teller also reversed the transaction twice due to not being trained properly on how to properly process a transaction. 1st Mid America didn't apply the funds to our account until 06/13/2022 as Misapplied Funds. Our payment wasn't due until 06/18/2022. We didn't find out about the error until after our closing date of 06/23/2022. **** is stating that we have to pay late fees and overage fees and they're requesting that we pay the $50.00 payment again before they can remove the late charges and fees associated. I spoke with a 1st Mid America Supervisor/Manager ****** in their plastics dept. on 07/01/2022 who assured me our minimum payment of $51.00 is due 07/18/2022. After speaking with **** on 07/02/2022, they confirmed our minimum payment would be $51.00 for 07/18/2022. Then the CSR confirmed the payment would be $138.92, and then the CSR confirmed the payment would be $63.82 which we are comfortable paying because that brings our **** account back current. Every time I request a supervisor they cannot speak with me regarding this matter, because 1st Mid America made a mistake on our account and isn't being honest trying to cover it up.Business response

Due to the duplicate payment error made on 6/10/22 and the payment adjustment to correct the error, the account needed manually updated and re-aged. This was completed and the late fee was refunded to the member. The account is up to date and I have spoken to the member on 7/5/22 to go over these details.
