I have been a customer of JNL for more than 30 years. I had always been please with their work. A year ago, a contractor came out to check a furnace noise. He said there was a part that looked like it needed replacing and was under warranty but he did not have the part with him and would have to order it. He said they would call and schedule a time for the replacement work when the part arrived. Two weeks later, I had not heard from them so I called. I was told the part was still not in but they would contact me when it arrived. I then lost track of the issue and never received another call back. Today (nearly a year later) I called back to arrange for the part to be installed. After a brief hold, I was told that JNL will no longer service my home because of "living conditions." When I pressed further, I was told there was no further information but none of their people would enter my home. After some thought, I realized there had been several cat accidents in the basement around the time of the service call a year ago. I explained that those had long since been cleaned up and apologized. I was told this was not good enough and JNL did not wish me to be their customer any more. I find this attitude completely unacceptable, especially after such a long-term relationship and many referrals by me to family and friends. The unwillingness to even attempt to come back to see if the "living conditions" still exist is particularly nasty. I am astonished that a company with such a good reputation could be so callous and uncaring about long-term customers. I hope no one else who uses their services ever has an elderly pet who sometimes has "hidden" accidents in the basement. I also hope no one at JNL ever experiences such a situation. Totally unacceptable!
