On September 6, 2022 I made a deposit payment of $9,555 via online banking transfer to Bridgewater Custom Renovations for bathroom renovations. Due to lack of communication or progress from the owner/contractor, I requested a full refund on April 25, 2023. I have made multiple attempts to reclaim deposit by calling, emailing, and text. I was told that his distributor failed to produce product that would be installed into my home, but this was months after payment was made. I had to initiate every request for updates concerning our transaction and always received an excuse. It is now late May and I have still not received my deposit back nor have I received any updates as to when it is expected. I’m currently seeking attorney advice through the Illinois State Attorney’s office for civil lawsuit to recover funds.Initial Complaint

Dec 10, 2021 I called **** to come look at a window that had been broken. **** came out the next day and created an invoice to replace the new window. My husband and I paid in full $1360.60. This included the new window, installation and some work he had done to board up the broken window. **** communicated we could expect it to be 90 days. After 30 days **** communicated the window had been shipped but lost. He then communicated he ordered another window. **** has stopped communicating. I have reached out to **** via email, text, facebook messenger and no response. I have since paid another company to replace the window. **** never completed the work and took our money. I have requested him to send our money back without response back from him.
