    My landlord had a service contract with this company for many years. This year, 2020, we asked them to do a service check in March; the contact allows 2 check per year. I received a call in March to schedule the check, unfortunately I was not available on the day they wanted to come. The woman on the phone said she would call to try again the following we, but I never received another call. Fast forward, to June 17th, my landlord called for them to do the spring check because I told her the air-conditioning didn't seem to be cooling well. I received a call on the morning of June 30th, the woman said someone would be out shortly; "they are leaving the garage now." 3 hours later no one had shown up, so I called her back. She told me the repairman had been directed by someone else to another location and would come to my place when they were finished. I said I had already rearranged my day so I could be home in the morning and I asked for time range when they would arrive because I had other afternoon appointments. She refused to give me a time, because, as she said, "if they didn't make the time she gave, I would just get mad." Since there was nothing else to say, I hung up. Yes, I was angry and I hung up to avoid being rude. AMK then called my landlord, told them I was rude and canceled the service contract all together. I was not rude, I was angry and felt i had reason to be angry. I hung up because there was nothing else I could do. AMK has agreed to refund 1/2 of the service fees, which I feel is not acceptable. We tried twice to get them to come out, once in March and 2nd in June. They didn't make either appointment and have not serviced the air-conditioning at all this year.Until now, I believe we were happy with the service. I find it incredible they canceled the contract when they were the ones not living up to it. I rescheduled my entire day for them. it was AMK that didn't show up when scheduled.

    This is a complaint from a privileged renter who has been rude to our staff everytime we have been to the property. After multiple attempts to get this serviced we felt it was in the best interest for everyone involved to give a FULL REFUND for the annual service contract to the property owner, not the renter, which was sent immediately and a phone call to the property owner was made to explain why we were taking the actions we took. As a business owner this is a choice that I made after a heartfelt decision that this was no longer a good fit for AMK or the property owner.
