JF Electric is one of several companies hired by Ameren to repair lines after storms. They came to my house and had to repair a line in the back yard. They asked if they could drive their heavy equipment on my driveway to get to the pole. If not they would have to climb the pole another way. He stated the heavy equipment, has broken driveways in the past but if my driveway is damaged that Ameren would pay to fix it and it would be fine. He advised to take pictures of the driveway now, and that driveways usually crack a couple years later after the load from their equipment. They broke my driveway. Theres a 15 ft long large crack that runs the length of the driveway right up the middle. I submitted a claim to Ameren, they forwarded it to JF Electric and they said theyre not going to fix the driveway, which would cost 10's of thousands of dollars. They said their employee misspoke about how claims are handled and admitted he gave me incorrect information.I'm stuck with a broken driveway and a HUGE bill to fix it.Business response

I am denying the claim. I was there 3 years ago in june and we did not use heavy equipment in his driveway. I did not take machinery into his driveway.Initial Complaint

****** contracted JF to fix a street lamp outside my home.Throughout this process they left material in my yard overnight, disposed of cigarettes in my yard, and scratched my car with a stake.They refuse to take responsibility because I dont have a video of evidence. I explained to them that the stake was hanging over my driveway.*** who handles the claims said that they wouldnt be accepting my claim as the stakes were properly supported. When *** provided me with the pictures he utilized in his decision, the stake in question had open ground next to it which would allow it to lean (see below).For weeks I asked *** to explain how the stakes could be properly supported, but the images said otherwise. *** finally responded that he sees my view, but still wouldnt be able to move the claim forward. By this point, Im at a complete loss.I then tried to reach the Director of Safety, ***************************, to discuss this claim and hopefully get the issue resolved. The receptionists continued to put me on hold as they waited for ******* to free up.By this point I had not raised my voice or gotten angry with anyone at JF even though I was tossed around for 3 weeks.Instead of calling me to talk, ******* had my number blocked at the company. They were clearly annoyed at my persistence and commitment to holding them responsible for damaging my vehicle.I then proceeded to call *** numerous times to try to get some sort of explanation as to what he was saying was properly supported compared to the image he sent me. After *** finally answered, he threatened to call the authorities on me for harassing him by calling him numerous times. I explained that I am just trying to get the property that was damaged by his crews fixed and that communication has not been clear.Business response

We sent our investigator to review the claim made by this individual. We covered the hole with wood, marked "hole" on it, and pounded stakes in the ground wrapped with tape. This individual believes one of our stakes damaged his vehicle, but when our investigator came out to inspect he saw the stake was still vertical and in the ground. We denied this claim as there was no proof our stake caused damage to the vehicle.Customer response

JF H323430**3131373736H was hired by Ameren to upgrade the H33343630**3038333835H to the new apartment. They hit my gate with the log, utility pole. They hit the top of it and bent my gate and it**;s off-track on Aug. 16. They came back on Aug. 23 to put the log in the hole and damaged my gate again. I have pictures, videos and talked to the operator of the machine and he said sorry. So I called the place and he said he would repair the fence. Now they don**;t want to repair it. He won**;t answer or respond back to me or anything. Also, they damaged my plant and my tree.I would like for them to repair my gate.Business response

*********************** JF Electric Investigator: We have resolved this issue. The gate was ordered which took a few weeks to arrive. The gate was replaced on 9-15-23. On 9-18-23, the customer sent voice mail acknowledging her satisfaction.
