              I made a trip to ********* IL from Mt. ****** IL and ended up with car troubles when I got to *********. My battery light turned on and my car died. I was able to get to the auto zone parking lot and they hooked it up to run tests. They let me know it was most likely the alternator killing the battery. My car was towed to *** Hecht and I left a note since it was after hours letting them know what happened. I spoke with them the next day and discussed the alternator. They stated it was just a dead battery, replaced the battery and said I could pick it up. Being an hour and a half away I had to rent a car to get back and pick it up. The day after we started having the battery light come on again. When I asked them about this no one could say if they officially tested the alternator it stated the battery was dead. Now, my car died again and I had to get the alternator and battery replaced. I paid them about $230 just for the battery and now have to pay almost $1000 to get it fixed again. If this had been resolved originally, I wouldnt have been stranded on the side of the road again and the cost would have bee less.

              After viewing vehicle offered on national database, was informed they do not sell to anyone outside of a 50 mile radius. Was told they would ask management if allowed and it would be more helpful if I had a trade or would finance directly through dealership. Purchase would be cash and no financing needed. Sales person called back to say they would keep the vehicle and sell locally. Discrimination based on zip code.

              *****, due to the limited availability of this unit we need to maximize the profit opportunity we have been given. If we sell this vehicle out of our area, we never see the customer again. we have built our 65 year reputation on service and repeat customers and we will give our customers the first opportunity to purchase those units that are hard to get. Chances are you have tried many dealership and either they don't have one or are like us and want to sell it to their customers. Sorry for the circumstances but hope you understand. We wish we had 10 of these and only 8 customers but such is not the case.
