After viewing vehicle offered on national database, was informed they do not sell to anyone outside of a 50 mile radius. Was told they would ask management if allowed and it would be more helpful if I had a trade or would finance directly through dealership. Purchase would be cash and no financing needed. Sales person called back to say they would keep the vehicle and sell locally. Discrimination based on zip code.

*****, due to the limited availability of this unit we need to maximize the profit opportunity we have been given. If we sell this vehicle out of our area, we never see the customer again. we have built our 65 year reputation on service and repeat customers and we will give our customers the first opportunity to purchase those units that are hard to get. Chances are you have tried many dealership and either they don't have one or are like us and want to sell it to their customers. Sorry for the circumstances but hope you understand. We wish we had 10 of these and only 8 customers but such is not the case.Review from Kenneth K

I called to talk about buying a Toyota while discussing i wanted to contact my bank ***** in sales said they don't allow outside financing that I had to use them. is this even legal! so I call ****** ****** in mt vernon they said they never heard of this before that I could use my bank but I'm unfortunately 60 miles away so technically they couldn't sell me one either I think as a customer I should have the right to use whatever financing that suits meReview from BKS

BEWARE! SHADY! We Bought a $41,000 2020 vehicle **** many hidden issues. We willingly believe the sales person, staff, & management were fully aware of issues without disclosing. Salesperson and management are shady. We spoke **** *** ***** about this issue within three days of purchase. He made no mention that the vehicle could be returned. Although it is in our paperwork. What a nightmare for them to prey on us like this. An official BBB complaint has been filed.Dan Hecht Chevrolet Response

The check engine came on shortly after he arrived in his home town. It left our dealership in good condition. It is Certified and still under factory warranty. Any issues would be covered under the ** warranty. The employees of Dan Hecht Chevrolet ****** were not aware of any "hidden" issues with this van. We understand he took the van to a ** dealership and had the issue repaired at no cost to them.Customer Response

Dan Hecht Chevrolet doesn't even seem to know the facts here. No check engine light was on, nor ever mentioned in the conversations with ***************************. How dare you lie? I shall remind you that NO ONE followed up with us after the reported issues. That's far from customer service in action. A huge headache for us. Now, shall I state the facts?1. Three days after the purchase, the fan controller **** broke off of the unit and a piece fell into the unit area. A/C would barely blow out and was insufficient for travel. This required replacing. Was covered on the warranty but still money out of our pocket expenses.2. The radio shorted out within three days. Was replaced by another Certified GMC service center at no cost.3. The oil assembly lines needed to be replaced due to an oil leak. This was covered as well under GMC certification.4. The vehicle has seemingly been in an accident but not reported on CarFax, etc. 5. The trim on the front windshield came off and was replaced at our expense.6. Taking advantage of people is not kind. But that's between you and God.Review from Amber M

I had some difficulty at the ****************** at Dan Hecht Chevy at the end of January 2022. One of the owners is working with me to resolve this. Mistakes happen - I will follow up to report if the dealership rectifies the situation satisfactorily and adjust my rating accordingly.
