My daughter had an appointment at Kids First Pediatric Dentistry on 08/21/2023. I called them and informed them that the services they were going to render would not be covered by my insurance due to 6-month frequencies. I also informed my daughter's mother who also asked the provider about this the day of the appointment. My daughter had a dentist visit (different dentist) in May which means that the August visit is too soon for the services. I now owe $212 to my insurance company because they proceeded with the services and an overpayment is on my account. ********************** will tell you they are not responsible for the overpayment since they checked about frequencies before the service. The other dentist's claim was not processed at the time they checked. That should not matter anyway since I informed them of all this information as did my daughter's mother the day of service. They decided to go on with the appointment because they claim that is not their fault (even though they knew that it would not be covered). Their claim was processed before the other one resulting in $212 overpayment. I have contacted them multiple times via phone and even in person (starting in September). I finally got a reply today stating they will not do anything about the overpayment because it is not their problem. This is horrible business practices since they were notified that this would be an issue. They also knew about the appointment considering that same day they reached out to the other dentist to get records of x-rays since I told them what services were exactly done. Why wouldn't they have done x-rays if they didn't know of the appointment? That is the whole thing! They clearly knew but do not care about scamming people. And like I said they will not work with me on the issue because they do not care. They only care about money.
