I contacted a company to fix my elyptical trainer. We ordered parts based on a phone conversation with him stating what the machine needed to fix it. He came out twice, charged me $269.00 and did not fix it. I had to call someone else who came out once, fixed it and charged me less. I emailed the first guy asking for my money back, since he said he would fix it. He ignored my email, and I feel that since he promised to provide a service, since I did not receive that service, he should not be allowed to keep my money. He came out on 9/08/22 and charged me $169.00 and then again on 2/20/23 and charged me $100.00. He promised that if he still couldn't fix it after the 2nd time, he would fix it for free the next time, but he obviously did not know how, since after his second visit, he left my machine in the same condition it was when it broke. I basically gave him $269.00 for nothing. All I want is my money back. If you promise to provide a service, and you don't provide that service, you should not be paid. I don't make a lot of money, but that is besides the point. I would like my money back and I would like help in retrieving it. He gave me a receipt for his first visit, but did not give me one for the 2nd. Thank you.
