  On March 14, I contacted the owner ******* at Attractive Tree Service, LLC in ******** ******** concerning a water pooling issue that I had in my backyard. I got them through a referral. On March 16th ******* and his ********************* came to my house; I advised them I was planning to put a fence and needed the water pooling issues resolved beforehand. I also asked them to cut down a few small branches and trim some of the bushes that impeded on where the fence would go up. They assessed the water pooling situation and advised that I would need yard leveling (grading the lawn) and that they would also dig a few trenches. They guaranteed me this would resolve the issue so I agreed to their services. They informed me the cost would be $2200; I didn't get a contract however I do have text correspondences with pictures, phone logs and they insisted on me paying 2 installments even when they advised me that payment would not be required until all the services were rendered. I paid them $2200 dollars in total for services that were not rendered. I contacted them on April 26th when we had another rainfall and advised that the water was pooling the same and sent pictures. I also got a second opinion from a Public building associate with the ************** and he confirmed that it didnt appear anything was done to rectify my situation and that this was a much bigger issue which would warrant drain tiles. Attractive Tree Service took advantage of a single woman and charged me for a something they knew that they couldnt correct which are fraudulent actions. I contacted ******* for a refund of $1700 and that he could pocket the rest for the tree trimming and whatever materials he spent. He refused and offered me $600 which is unacceptable given what I paid to fix a water pooling situation that was not corrected.
