This occurred roughly on 5/26/22 They ruined my ceiling and refuse to accept responsibility. As you can see from the pictures: before they came, I had sent a picture to my handyman to ask him to sand, spackle and paint (a $150 job). Now, someone has to come cut out my ceiling and replace the plaster (a $2,500 job). The guys who came were very nice and proceeded to rod our toilets but when they went to do the one upstairs, they didnt drain the tank or the bowl (gallons and gallons of water) so, when they moved it to get at the drain, water went all over the bathroom floor into every crack. My wife saw toilet water running down the ceiling and kitchen walls below and went to ask what was happening (thank god she saw it). Only then did they ask for towels and start to mitigate how much water had gotten away from them. By then, the damage was done. Now we have several cracks in our ceiling and one is a hazard- the light doesnt work and it looks like it could fall down at any moment. At first the ceiling didnt seem so bad but after the water settled in and soaked the plaster over the course of a week or so, it was clear real damage had been done. I contacted the owner and he denied all responsibility (and wasnt nice about it either- refused to come look at, said theyd done nothing wrong), he even said it was there before from something I did. Well, theres clearly a difference between what was there before and after his guys did the job. I would have my insurance cover it but its smaller than my deductible. Im fine with the **** for the original service being $500 more than I was quoted. If the crack in the ceiling was a simple spackle and paint job as it was before, I would be fine with that too. I just would have liked them to accept responsibility and use their insurance to cover their mistake. Thats what insurance is for. I would like the to finish the job by habit fixed or reimburse us for the work they did so we can use it to pay for fixing theBusiness response

Hi, ********. This is the 3rd negative review you have posted about us in the past 24 hours - one on ****** and another on Yelp. In late May 2022 (more than 2 months ago), CJ Plumbing & Heating responded to your call and serviced your home after you notified us that you attempted to repair these issues yourself. My team performed all the necessary work, including rodding the main line all the way to the street, removing and reinstalling the toilet on the 2nd floor, and cleaning the building drain with a camera inspection. As we started to work on the toilet, we noticed cracks in the ceiling. We immediately informed you about this, but you said that you were already aware of this and that this problem was there prior to our arrival. Our work was performed to your complete satisfaction at the time of the service. Please call me directly at ************ anytime from 7AM to 8PM to remedy this issue. Thank you - **********-OwnerCustomer response

I am rejecting this response because: the company has not fixed the damage they caused yet or provided me with the funds to do so.
Sincerely,

Hello. I spoke on the phone with ******** on Friday, August 5th, to get more information about his complaint. He was incomprehensible when describing why he should be issued a refund for our professional plumbing services. We had 2 men work on his house for 6-7 hours on May 27, 2022 and repair everything to his complete satisfaction. I attached a copy of the paid invoice, which outlines all of the services we completed on that day.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because: I made it clear that I want them to fix the $2k in damage they did to my kitchen ceiling by dumping water all over my bathroom floor (what kind of plumber doesnt empty out the toilet before moving it?). It was obviously clear because he said hed think about it. Now hes changed his mind I guess and making up stories. He wasnt there when it happened but maybe if he had they wouldnt have dumped after all over the floor.
Sincerely,
