I received a letter from MNI Industynet.com that we would be listed in the Directory of Industry NET Manufactures, to please sign letter to EDIT our listing. We did so. Letter DID NOT state that our signature would be authorizing a purchasing of an add. This is fraud! No where in letter does it states your signature is buying an add or authorizes a purchase. It implies you are only editing your company info for a directory. Letter does not indicate you are buying ANYTHING by signing. I later received a bill for $399.00 due upon receipt, so I tried to call *************************** which is on the bill, and he did not answer so I left a voicemail with no reply, so then I emailed him, telling him I did not wish to have my business published in this book and he said too late! Pay your bill. He has harassed me about this for several days and respectfully asking him to not publish anything regarding my business. Thank you, BBB, for having this website so I could look up this company and know that I am not the only one this has happened to. People be careful out there; this is a process of Bait and Switch. FRAUD. At this time ******* is still refusing to cancel this and insists on me paying $399.00 for something, I didn't know was a purchase.

We do not force any customer to pay if not completely satisfied, so we have credited the invoice and no payment is due. The customer will receive no further invoices. Please note that our solicitation clearly stated "the cost to appear as seen here in the upcoming edition is just $399, payable upon activation on IndustryNet.com". At the bottom it stated "We'll mail order confirmation and invoice." Customer checked "Run with corrections indicated and send a proof", signed the form and mailed it in to **. So this appeared to ** to be a routine, legitimate order for the proposed ad.

I'VE NEVER HEARD OF THIS BOOK AND, AS A MANUFACTURER, IT SHOULD BE WELL KNOWN. They send letters that look like signing up for free publications similar to Production Machining, Modern Machine Shop, etc. However, in VERY fine print, I guess there's a mention of cost, we did not catch it. But, as I've stated, I've NEVER HEARD OF THIS BOOK. After receiving the invoice I spoke with other manufacturers as well as our customers and no one has heard of it. I repeat for the money they charge it should be well known. Also, a confirmation of purchase should be sent before the invoice, not to mention what "ad" for us did they use? Who approved the verbiage and information contained in the listing? This company is NOT legit. Thanks for ripping us off after several years struggling with shut downs and cancellations due to COVID.

Our ********* Manufacturers Register has been published annually since ****. It is the oldest and most widely distributed directory of manufacturers in the state. In the past ten years alone, ***** copies have been purchased, and tens of thousands of free circulation copies have been distributed. ***** ********* companies have chosen to advertise in the Register over the past ten years. The $219 price and the sentence "We'll mail order confirmation and invoice" are not in "very fine print". They are in the same size type as everything else in the order form. And we do mail every customer an order confirmation the day after we receive an order. In this case, the confirmation was mailed 4/15/22 and we never received any indication of any problem, so the listing was published as authorized when this year's edition was distributed in July. All that said, we do not force any customer to pay if not completely satisfied with our services, as this customer would have learned had she bothered to contact us before submitting this review.
