I made an additional payment for my loan and designated it to be applied to principal. I checked on it later and it had been applied to interest without my permission. The person I spoke with said it was because of timing. Their website is antiquated and its very difficult to make extra payments. According to them, you have a very small window to do this. I believe this is intentional to keep account holders from paying down loans, and even if its not, this does not look good to the **** folks. I stated that I wanted the payment reapplied to principal, and they said they didnt know if they could. I am currently seeking another lender and will be filing an official complaint with all applicable agencies. Also, I have asked on at least 5 occasions to speak with someone in leadership or management, and they refused my request. I tried to give these folks a chance to rectify the situation, but they just dont seem to care.

On June 3, 2023, I noticed that an extra payment for a motorcycle loan ********* was taken out of my checking account which I did not authorize. I contacted *******************, a subsidiary of this banking group, and spoke with a representative named ********. She informed me that I set up automatic payment yesterday, June 2, for payments to be automatically withdrawn, effective June 1, 2023. This is false for two reasons: 1) I made a one-time payment on May 31 to cover the monthly required payment of $520 due on June 7 2) Automatic payment withdrawal is never retrospective but prospective; more importantly I never selected the auto-payment withdrawal option. I requested a refund, the representative aggressively denied my request. After she hung up on me, I called back and spoke with another representative who informed me that the loan department allocated my extra payment to cover November 2023 payment without even asking for my approval. This chain of events indicates illegal and unethical business practices involving customer accounts. I am requesting an immediate refund of the extra payment to my bank account or that the extra payment be immediately applied to the loan principal.

      *******,
Thank you for being a ******************* customer.  The Banks online banking platform audit log shows that on May 31, 2023, at 3:34 pm a payment of ****** was initiated and on June 1, 2023, at 7:25am another payment of $****** was initiated. The same IP address was used for both transactions, and that both appear to have been authorized. I do believe that the dates given to you by a staff member may have been incorrect and recurring payments had not been set up, I am sorry for the incorrect information you received. Payments are applied as stated in your contract in the following order: interest due, principle, and fees or charges. By signing the contract you agreed to your payments automatically posting in this way. At your request the Bank did apply the June payment to principle on June 5th, 2023. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
      Thank you,
      ***********************

Dear Mr. ****************** are entries that appear on your credit report when your credit information is accessed by a legally authorized person or organization (*********************). Most commonly, inquiries are the result of an application for credit, goods or services; an account review made by a company that you already do business with; or a preapproved offer of credit that has been sent to you.
There are two types of credit inquiries: hard inquiries and soft inquiries. Account reviews and preapproved offers fall under the category of soft inquiries, which have no effect on your credit scores. Hard inquiries include applications for credit or certain services, and although their impact is minimal, they can temporarily affect your scores.
When you filled out a credit application with ********************* a hard credit inquiry was completed. Hard inquiries normally will show up on your credit for up to 24 months, the person that told you 45 days was incorrect.
The Fair Credit Reporting Act (****) regulates the consumer credit reporting industry. In general, the **** requires that furnisher report your consumer credit information in a fair, timely, and accurate manner to consumer credit reporting industry. Evergreen Bank Group/********************* follow the **** and report in a fair, timely, and accurate manner. Evergreen Bank Group/********************* is reporting your information correctly.

      Better Business Bureau:

I'm actually not sure why I am receiving this at this point. I no longer believe that evergreen bank group is actually connected to the party in question which is ********************** out of **** ******. They are in fact the bottom feeders and the scum of the earth. I believe that I talked to evergreen bank group regarding this and confirmed that fact. This situation in question was actually resolved through the fraud department at the reporting credit agency. They did that as a kindness to me and removed that credit check. So unless you have any further information for me or questions for me I will consider this matter closed for now.

Thank you for everything, I appreciate your efforts to help me resolve this.

((I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.))

      Sincerely,

      ***********************

On September 23rd, 2022 I contacted my lender, Evergreen Bank Group, because a mistake had been brought to my attention via a third party, ********************** (FRF), about my payments being late. A few years ago, I had made a purchase and financed a motorcycle from a dealership. Sometime after I made this purchase and after sending payments via check to FRF I contacted them via phone to set up automatic payments for my loan. Payments were made on time and were up to date. Fast forward a year, I'm getting calls from FRF but, no one is leaving me any messages. I noticed that payments were not being automatically withdrawn from my account, so I contacted FRF via phone. Apparently, my account was no longer set up on auto pay even though I had not made any changes to my account. I could not get any clear explanation from the customer service rep over the phone but, they did make me aware that to reinstate auto pay all I had to do was go online and set-up the auto pay again on my account and everything would be up to date, which, I did. Now the bad news. Because of this stop and start with my auto pay, my account was marked as delinquent and reported to the credit bureau. This one report of late payment torpedoed my credit score from 721 to 677. I contacted FRF first to get a resolution to this problem. Once again, they were unable to explain to me why my accounts auto pay had been interrupted and offered no other assistance except to offer me an application for credit dispute which would take up to 30 days. I filled out the credit dispute via email with FRF and then contacted Evergreen to try and find a better resolution. I was told by the rep at Evergreen that she did see I had filed the credit dispute but, could not offer any other help except to say that, after reviewing my account she would physically hand my dispute to the person in charge of credit disputes in her office to get a swifter response. It has been 25 days, nothing has changed.
