Today 4/1`1/23 @ 815 AM I dropped off my dog for grooming at Flossmoor Animal Hospital. When I arrived to pick him up it was described over the phone that he had been "nicked" with the clippers during grooming. I had to pay the full invoice before my dog was brought out in the amount of $148.The groomer showed me the affected ear and scarring which had already healed to a scab. When I got home I did a more thorough exam and realized the entire tip of the dog's ear was missing. His ears are now two different shapes (pictures attached). There is an in long scar running across the tip of his ear where it was severed.I called the groomer to ask for an explanation and refund. I received the same explanation as before and spoke with the manager and owner who were both very hostile to the idea of a refund and turned to blaming me for leaving the dog in their care before hanging up. I was told they would not issue a refund. I never want to see this place again but I want my money back at a bare minimum for the injury they caused my dog.
