      A fee was charged to reserve an appointment with a specialist. This appointment was canceled in advance and the deposit amount was supposed to be returned by the Center for Dental Excellence. They have been contacted several times (10/16/23, 11/22/23, 12/8/23, 12/19/23, 1/10/24, 1/18/24) over the past 4 months. I was told repeatedly that the third party vendor would issue the refund but the refund was never issued.

      We're sorry that the refund process was lengthy. We have been notified that the check was mailed to your address last week, so you should be receiving your refund any day now. Hopefully that will resolve this issue.

      I am rejecting this response because the refund has not been received. Per the Center for Dental Excellence the check was issued by their vendor on February 9, 2024 and as of February 19, 2024 has not been received.

      If I could give this business zero stars I would. Let me begin by saying I received a coupon flyer(VALPAC) in the mail August 2022 for the The Center for Dental Excellence in *********, ********. I called and asked the young lady at the office did they take Delta Dental and if we were in network. The response was yes. I proceeded on to get my children's teeth cleaned. I then proceeded on to get cavities filled and dental work. Fast forward 5 months later and we began to receive extensive bills from this dentist. After calling to question why we were receiving bills they began to now tell us that we were not in network and insist on telling me and my husband that they told us they were not in network which is a complete LIE on all levels. They are charging us over $3000. The amount they are charging is the highest a dentist will charge clients according to Delta Dental. A SCAM. Their is NO way me and my husband would have chosen an out of network dentist. I can only warn anyone looking for a dentist that this is not the place to go unless you are willing to be jived out of your hard earned money by this business. I asked them to replay the phone tapes from August when the original call took place since when you call their they say "All Calls are being Monitored for Training Purposes". Well this sounds like a prime time to use the call for training purpose and play back your office saying you took our insurance. BUYER BEWARE. They are off to take your money. I will be reporting this business to the BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU.

      As requested by the complainant, we have located and listened to the recording of the phone call in question. On August 9, 2021, at minute 5:45 of the 7:22 minute call, our team member clearly states that we are OUT OF NETWORK with Delta Dental but we are able to process their PPO plans. Our Office Manager spoke with the complainant's husband last night, 3/29/22, and indicated that she would review their account in detail and get back to him with possible next steps. We respectfully request that the complainant stop yelling and swearing at our employees. Thank you.

      Our Office Manager called and spoke with ******************** on April 8. He wanted to hear the recording of the phone call his wife made to us initially in August of 2021. I emailed the recording on April 11 with guidance as to where to find the part of the conversation where our employee states that we are OUT OF NETWORK with Delta Dental, however we are able to process Delta Dental PPO plans. He emailed back and asked that I give him a call, which I did on Friday, April 15. There was no answer, so I left a voicemail and asked that he return my call at his convenience.

      Me and my husband did get an opportunity to listen to the audio and the conversation sounded like both parties were not clear.  ********** did not make it clear that I would be responsible for paying the **** and not insurance.  ********** worker stumbled when explaining the out of network and I questioned it.  At no point in the audio does the Center for Dental Excellence CLEARLY state we do not take your insurance and you will be responsible for paying the **** out of your pocket.
      We have not come to a resolution or agreement to solve this problem.  The Center for Dental Excellence refuses to admit their worker was not clear on the phone call and did not clearly state I would pay for services out of pocket.
      I have agreed to pay The Center for Dental Excellence the Insurance portion in the amount of $656.
