Brought my children with me into clothing store. Was speaking to the manager *******. My daughter came up to me and talking. ******* grabbed her face and told her to shhhh. Nobody should touch my child! Very upset with this situation!!!!Business response

Azul Boutique is a women's clothing store. We sell clothing only, and do not provide any services. A woman entered the store with her two children. She did not make a purchase and Azul Boutique does not owe her a product or any money.
The woman was looking around the store and having a conversation with me. The children were not being supervised as they were touching everything in the store. They were pulling the jewelry off of the shelves and tables and putting them on and just touching it all. The woman said to me many times that she loved the store and would like to return to look around when she did not have her children with her. During the conversation with the woman and myself, her child kept interrupting the conversation and kept acting unruly to gain her mother's attention which she did not receive. The mother did not acknowledge her child or ask her to behave. I, very politely, with a soft caring tone of voice asked the child's name and asked her to be polite because her mother and I were talking. I never "grabbed" her child in any way. That statement is severe and does not describe my demeaner at all. In fact, we continued our conversation after I asked the child to allow her mother to speak to me. That day, the woman never expressed any feelings of being upset so I was confused when she called the store the next morning with a hostile and angry tone of voice accusing me of "grabbing her child and telling her to shush. This simply is not true. I thanked the woman for calling and expressing her anger to me so that we can discuss this situation as adults. I told her that I did not "grab" her child in any way and we ended the conversation. The next day I see this complaint so I am responding that I did not physically grab her child at all. This is absolutely not true. I am also confused as to why a BBB complaint has been filed since there is no transaction that has occurred.
