I am a regular customer at the *********** **. location for about a year and a half now because my washer broke and I just have a dryer. I usually take things to this location near the Ace Hardware and actually always like it and have never had a problem at all. That is why its very odd when I went in 1/10/22 around 8:15 pm, the associate working there was one that I have seen many times. I do not know any of their names but only to point out and promise is not racial, just saying she was the black woman. I typically even go there more than once per week due to re-usable items that are not clothes being washed. So I am familiar with the personnel. I saw her there upon entering last evening and had no interaction as usual but just after putting my items which included a shirt that I like a lot, into one of the white washers and going up to put money on my card, this person says "its going to double it." She repeated it a few times and I just said "Oh I see, thank you." She said "even the bonus points." She then said to me "When I get paid, I am going to put on like $20 dollars myself." I then said "that is what I should do because I do just put on what I need each time." I was joking with her nicely but even though I was not sure what she was verbalizing to me initially about the machine doubling it, I just didn't think much of it. As I left, I simply asked her how late they are open and she said that she leaves and 9pm but it is open 24 hours. She said for me to use my card for the door. I appreciated what she said and left.More odd is that I then go back just around 10:15pm (2 hours later) and she is putting things in her car and it was fine that as I was the only one coming back and even there at that time, that we didn't interact again because of course as Always, I was just going in to get my items from the washer to take home. I go to the washer and see Nothing there. All of them are empty. I then look out and she was driving off in her black car. I then think that she maybe as a courtesy just put them behind the counter for me and even though that seemed off in this case, never having an issue there, this was fine and I just thought I would go there this morning, being the very next morning to talk to get them. I go in and a different woman was there who I do know is somewhat new only because I saw her being trained one day with other people. I did not expect the same woman to be there but I thought that they would at the very least be able to speak and serve a purpose. She said everything that would make it so, she was not the slightest concerned of what I was even talking about. Even though it is not a complicated matter lol. She even claimed the woman was new whom I had been referring to but the woman involved from last night, was not new. This woman this morning would just ramble off things that provided nothing seemingly on purpose. She takes me back into a small room with tons of bagged items but of course not mine from just last night. She then tries to look through some outside garbage that she brought in and has me look through the garbage and there were some clothing items in a bag or two, but it was not even possible to go through it all and I did not see any of my items. The question is why would the associate last night take my items out of the washer at all, let alone throw them somewhere or from what I am even thinking, take them home with her when she was there at 10:15pm before I arrived to pick them up and for what creepy reason. The items are replaceable but the question is why was she seemingly even focused and now what I am thinking annoyed as to why I only put the amount specifically on my card each time that I am there twice a week at least. I am even thinking she has some fixation now and most likely took my items because she was personally bothered by me for some personal reason. I never even talk to her but only one time we had a pleasant verbal interaction. The woman this morning did not even seem cognitive enough to serve a purpose. I hope that they consider having a manager monitor these workers behavior.
