I've been having issues with my vehicle. Finally found out there was an open recall on my vehicle.I called Fairway **** and told them my problems with the vehicle and the open recall from ****. We set an appointment to have it fixed.I took it to the appointment, and they told me the recall was already performed and they wouldn't do anything to it. They also informed me there's still an open recall on the vehicle but didn't know why.I proceeded to explain the recall was open due to the parts that were replaced on it were parts that **** had not only recalled but discontinued. I read on ***** page that the parts were discontinued and explained to them the parts that needed to be put on.They told me they'd look into it and call me back at a later time. I spoke with them later on that afternoon and they wanted me to bring it in to see if the part was in fact damaged (that's what they were supposed to do the 1st time)I called another ******************* in ***************** and they were able to pull up the recall, understood why it was open, and agreed to fix it.I took the vehicle to Delevan Wis and they said they couldn't do it because the recall had been closed by Fairway **** in ******** 3 days earlier. I called Freeport Fairawy **** and they said they couldn't reverse the closure they put on the vehicle, and gave me no reason why they closed it considering they did not fix it and wanted to see it back in for inspection.They told me that only the ************ themselves can reverse the closed recall.After much help from the **** Service center in *******, **** has been contacted and will be giving my vehicle another proper recall.Fairway **** in ******** il had no reason or business closing an open recall on my vehicle that they did not fix. The driveshaft can come apart, tearing out brake and fuel lines as well as signaling my van to go into park while driving down the highway. The part that needs replaced is already severely damaged and could go anytime.
