I went to Karmark and had my 2007 Gold Buick Lucerne vehicle towed there for repairs on Wednesday March 1st 2023 and they had done caliper work on my car which included 2 front calipers , 2 hoses and 1 pad and rotor which came up to $686.20 for the total then I got it back on Friday March 3rd and drove it home , the following week on Monday March 6th ( my car stalled again and I had it towed back to Karmark ( 3 days later from the 1st repairs ) and they had to put on new calipers AGAIN on the front at Their cost since they were the ones who messed up my vehicle with not doing the calipers correctly the first time , then after I got my car back on Friday March 10th after they “ fixed” the calipers my car had stalled once again ( which by this time has cost me $140 to tow my vehicle multiple times unecessarly after it was supposed to be fixed . In the end of the last tow on March 11th I had the tow company bring it to my house where I had a family friend look at my vehicle and found out the motor blew , I then had to go get a different vehicle for this whole situation , that could have all been avoided . I called Karmark multiple times and was just pretty much given the run around with what went on and that it wasn’t their fault this happened and it has nothing to do with them , I even went to Karmark on March 28th to talk to **** the owner of his business and asked him if I could be compensated my $ 686.20 which was paid to fix my car in the 1st place and he told me NO since neither things were related with what happened to my car , I feel this business is very unprofessional and should be held accountable for reimbursement of atleast my repair cost of my car especially since I only had my car back for four days within 2 weeks before it stalled 2 times in between and it was a huge safety issue traveling my 8 year old daughter in this car as well .

originally the customers car was towed in with a front brake caliper stuck. We did a front brake job with new calipers and brake hoses. About a week later the vehicle came back with a caliper sticking. We replaced the caliper and hose under warranty . We also told the customer that the abs system wasnt working properly and she should take it somewhere that can work on this cars abs system. We do not have the proper computer to program the abs unit itself. The customer sent me a video of the vehicle shooting smoke out of the exhaust and demanded a refund of the brake work we did. I feel badly for the customer but the two items are completely unrelated. It is a very old car and these things can happen.

I am rejecting this response because:
I do not believe this is a satisfactory decision in the case of which I was not told about the ABS system until I called Karmark tire and auto and told him what had happened with my car smoking because when I picked up my car on Friday when they handed me the keys that was it, and nothing else was said until I called after I had it towed again, I then called Karmark and  requested to speak to someone about my car, having to be towed for the third time which was to home, and I had a good family friend of mine look at the car - who knows cars and saw that the engine was no good anymore due to the fact of the calipers, locking up the time when I had to bring it back for them to replace something they had messed up on to begin with at their cost, so which made my rpm go up too high and affected the motor to where I have to get rid of my car and get a new car with a car payment which was not necessary. I do understand it is a older car but for one it’s very well taken care of car so I do not appreciate them brushing it off and saying it’s due to the ABS system when the motor was completely fine before they had put hands on my brakes doing repair work - which apparently whoever was working on my car did not know what they were doing with the first caliper repair work. Otherwise I wouldn’t have to bring it back for them to re-fix something They messed up on their end.And I’m sorry I do not feel the company feels badly one bit because the fact of the matter is when I was talking to the owner **** of Karmark and as I was explaining to him the situation and the video he constantly was saying oh it’s a head gasket that blew, so how does it really go from the “ ABS system “to a head gasket all the sudden then he began to walk away from me anyway and did not really wanna hear anymore that I had to say so I proceeded to leave and contact the BBB. And yes, I do feel I should be compensated my $686.20 because from the time they worked on my car within those two weeks I was only able to drive the car four days just to work and back and my daughter to school in my car that really was not safe . It’s pretty sad. I thought this company would communicate better than what they are saying because I faithfully brought my car there for oil changes every time and put my trust in them. When it comes to the end of the whole situation, the calipers got too hot.
