I purchased a 2023 GLC 300 from Fields ************************* a subsidiary of the Fields Auto Group headquartered at this address and BBB profile on May 13, 2023.A check engine due to charging light came on and we were assured that it would reset after charge and we accepted the vehicle. We have been plagued with dreaded 48V issues since purchase. Fields has not made one solution as to our being stuck with this vehicle. In fact they went as far to not proactively reach out to us when a campaign recall was issued, instead allowing us to become stranded. The disregard by the dealer toward the purchaser is amazing, but the checks already been cashed.In addition to the ***** campaign recall there is a 2023 ******** GLC ****** Petition for 48V **************** System Recall Expansion that was made to the ****** A recall was announced on May 8, 2023 and included the following models: 2022 ********-AMG EQS 53, 2022 ********-**** EQS 450+, 2022 & 2023 ********-**** EQS 450, 2022 & 2023 ********-**** EQS 580, 2022 & 2023 ********-**** S 580e, 2023 ********-**** EQE 350, 2023 ********-**** GLC 300.When our car broke down and was being serviced by Fields, it was stored with the window down in a uncontrolled highly humid service bay with the window fully opened. Worse it had been driven without any coverings or service mats. At least it was next to the mower. Is this where you get mouse scratches, infestation, a repair Master technician eating lunch in car? Who knows? Just a low standard of care on top of low standards of care with no feedback from ownership.I have provided the most opportunities for anyone empowered in the organization to make this a better situation to no avail. It is absolutely clear that there is no level of accountability beyond legal thresholds and caveat emptor is a low bar for customer service. Everything we have experienced is a microcosm of zero accountability.
