      On 12/5/2023 I went to the Anytime Fitness Office in **************** to cancel my membership. I looked in the window and noticed the staff office was dark, meaning no staff member was on site during normal office hours. On 12/7/2023 I again went to the office during office hours, this time going inside and noticing a sign on the office door saying no staff members would be in the office for the entire week. On 12/11/2023 I called the office. Nobody answered so I left a voice mail asking for a return call. I also sent an email saying I wanted to cancel my membership. I did not get any response until 12/15/2023. Prior to this time I put a block on my Anytime Fitness account as I did not want to be billed additionally, not knowing when they would get back to me. On 12/15/2023 when the staff member was back in the office, I went to turn in my FOB and sign off on my contract. Surprisingly, the staff member told me to keep my FOB as she was extending my membership into the next month and also billing me against my wishes. I was shocked but signed her paper, not wanting to argue with her. She knew she was in the wrong anyway. As time went on I received automated phone calls saying my contract will not be cancelled if I don't mke the final payment of $19. The billing amount was not an issue for me but the way I was treated was a big problem for me. I cannot allow myself to be treated that way.

      Thank you for bringing this to our attention. I apologize for overlooking this matter. 

      I have reviewed this complaint again and I want to make it clear that the member has been cancelled regardless of the past due balance. His account is closed and no longer being billed or accounted for the balance owed.

      I am writing this complaint in regard to the Anytime Fitness locations of ****************, ******** and ***********.I have been a member of Anytime Fitness for almost four years, utilizing not only the **************** facility but also frequenting *********** and ******** locations, which are closest to my home.Approximately three weeks ago, I encountered an issue when attempting to access the **************** gym using my membership fob. Concerned about the status of my membership, I promptly contacted my home gym ********** where I was assured that there were no issues with my account. However, the manager stated that I had been specifically locked out of the **************** location.Upon further inquiry, the manager at my home gym reached out to corporate and attempted to contact the **************** location but received no response. In an attempt to resolve the matter, I personally contacted ****, the owner of the ****************, ********, and ************** locations, whom I have had a positive relationship with for years. Despite his initial assurance that he would investigate the issue, I received no follow-up or resolution.Subsequent attempts to communicate with **** and the designated employee provided by him yielded no results. To my dismay, I discovered that my phone number had been blocked, preventing any further direct communication with the gym management. Additionally, upon contacting the associate at the **************** location, I was informed that there were no notes regarding my lockout in my account, and neither **** nor his wife were willing to provide an explanation for why I was locked out. As a longstanding member, I find this treatment unjust, unprofessional, and entirely unacceptable. The decision to lock me out of the **************** location without cause or notice has not only inconvenienced me but also limited my access to the facilities that are most convenient for me.

      Ive been trying to get in contact with Anytime Fitness to cancel my membership for over a month now. I've called multiple times and left a couple of messages with my Name, number and reason for calling. I have yet to hear back from them, all while my membership is still set to automatically renew. I signed a contract for a 2 year membership which I am responsible for. But Anytime Fitness is not giving me the opportunity to cancel the auto renewal. I will not be held liable for future payments if Anytime Fitness is not upholding their end of the contract.

      I have been trying to cancel my membership at this gym for over 2 months. There is NO STAFF to help my needs. I have emailed, called, and visited the location multiple times and there is NO STAFF.
