On 5/29/2024 I purchased 4 watches from Tri-Star City Auction #**. When I took them to my local watch person to get them cleaned he informed me that all 4 were fakes. Invoice number 525. The receipt and the description says country of origin is *********** which would mean they are real, therefore the original listing was a lie.Business response

The buyer filed a false claim! In his complaint he stated that he brought all 4 watches to his watch person and he told him that all 4 are fake. In his email to us, he said that he gave his watch person only 1 watch to clean, because only this watch he had left /check his email attached here/. So which one is it? Also he wants a refund for all 4 watches, but according to him, he doesn't even have 3 of them anymore - please check the response he sent to us uploaded above.
Another thing - in this same email he stated that after his watch person told him that the watch was fake, he went back home and checked the serial numbers to all 4 watches online and all were fake. Nothing ever like this was mentioned from him before. Only that his watch person said the watch was fake. Actually it was us that told him how to check the authenticity of the watches online /please check the email to ******* **** attached above/, not his watch person. And yet again, he claim he has access to all 4 watches, but as you can see from our email send to him, when we requested images with all 4 watches, he again stated that he had only 1 left!
First, these watches were brand new and he bought it less than 2 months before he wrote the complaint. So why is the buyer cleaning brand new watches?
Second, he never contacted us that he has an issue and we have exchanged many emails and some phone calls when he made the purchase - he has our contact information and he knows that we always respond. But he went straight to BBB in order to give us pressure and to make a refund without even he sending the watches back! As he said, he doesn't even have them!
Third - he refused to produce images for all 4 watches. He gave us images for 1 watch. This is an older model, but still new, never used in an original box! The older models had 11 digits like he has. They have made this model multiple times and have updated the powermatic. I don't have the exact date when this model was produced but it is an older style. I told the buyer to go and check the watches with an official Tissot dealer or in the store, he refused - he told us to go check it! We know that it is authentic!
Last, but not least...at first we told the buyer that he was misled from his watch person /please refer to our email to him attached here/, but after all the emails back and forth, we believe that he is just trying to get his money and keep the watches! We requested the contact information of his watch person and check why he is giving such an opinion. The buyer refused to give us any information and who this person is!
The watches are 100% authentic. We also offer our own warranty and repair team on site if needed. We were more then happy to take a look at the watches, but we were not given this opportunity by the buyer. We sell hundreds of watches each month to collectors, re-resellers and we have a lot of regular buyers! We are 1000% positive that all watches we carry are authentic! We make sure that we buy directly from the brand itself or from authorized dealers. We have been in the business over 15 years and have never sold anything that was fake.

I am rejecting this response because:I bought 5 watches total, they all came with boxes, tags, and books. When my watch *** told me all but one were fake I got rid of most of them. I still have the ******** and have no complaint about it. The serial numbers on the Tissots are not even long enough to verify. When I talked with Tissot via the chat feature I was informed that the numbers I gave them could not possibly be real as the don't have enough actual numbers to be one of their watches. This is apparently a known scam to them and have received multiple complaints of very nice looking but not real "tissots" I have sent pictures and now attached them of the serial numbers I could get. I am not asking for money back for watches I do not have. I am simply asking for a return on the fake 1 watch that I have left the "Tissot Powermatic 80". The buisness has tried to pressure me into giving all this info about my watch *** when the real word came from Tissot themselves. So please take it up with them.
Sincerely,

This is such a lie!
First Tissot does not have a Chat feature and never had!!! They have only phone support!
Second they will never tell you: oh, this is a well known scam, the serial number is too long or too short!! This is such a BS!! Older Tissot watches have 11 digits for a serial number, some have 8, others do not have any serial numbers at all! If you really had a watch guy, he would know this! And I will prove it to you right now, straight from the Tissot website!! When you go to the ****** website, they have listed there all Tissot Authorized Dealers. One of their Tissot Authorized Dealers is Busy Bee Jewelry from ******** - you can see it here:
*****************************************************
Tissot Authorized Dealers are those who buy directly from Tissot! No fakes here!!!
The watch you bought from us is a T-classic Powermatic 80, it is an older model with 11 digits. It is a rare watch, but we are lucky as this Tissot Authorized Dealer have your exact same model for sale. And just so you know, the watch has 11 digits as a serial number, as expected for this older Tissot model! I am attaching screenshots from their website and the watch with the serial number and you can also see it directly on their website here:
*****************************************************************************************************************;
So, what you are trying to tell us is that Tissot sell Fakes to their Authorized Dealers or they do not know that the older Tissot watches have 11 digits serial numbers or some even less?
Took me some digging - as I said your watch is rare and there are not much for sale from this model out there, but I found a few more examples.
Here is your exact same Model Tissot on a reputable European Watch store website and again - the watch of course is with 11 digits serial number /I am also attaching screenshots here/:
****************************************************
And I do not usually use **** as an example, but this seller owns a **** Shop and it has a perfect 100% positive feedback! If there is one thing **** shops are good at, that is to recognize Fakes from the Real Deal! This seller has your exact Tissot model for sale, only it has a white dial, but again as you can see from the screenshots I am attaching here and from the direct link below, this Tissot model again comes with 11 digits serial number:
*********************************************************************************************************************************************
Please stop lying about all Tissot watches being fake. You never even went to check if the Tissot with the 11 digits is real or not. And you already contradicted yourself multiple times - first you said you took 4 watches to your watch person, then in the email to us you said that you took only this Tissot, now that you took all 5 watches for cleaning! Who cleans 5 brand new watches less than 2 months after purchase?
Also the other 3 watches that you said that you do not even have right now in your possession, are newer models with 9 digits serial numbers. Tissot will never tell you that these are short on digits or fake and I am sure that if you call your friends and family and check the serial numbers of these watches on the Tissot website, you'll know that they are not fake, these are all authentic. By the way, I am sure you already did this as now you are stating that instead of refund for all 4 watches you want a refund just for 1 watch!!!
I understand that people are not familiar with Tissot older models and may be puzzled by the serial numbers. And I also understand that it is normal to be wary nowadays. But it is one thing to call us or emails and to say...hey I have questions about this watch...or I feel some type of way I want to return it, please assist me. What I do not understand is why you keep being untruthful here and keep lying about the 4 Tissot watches being fake and why you never contacted us at the first place?! As I already mentioned in my previous response, we have communicated with you previously on many occasions. And you see that we have sold thousands of these watches on our auctions, not to mention we have close to ****** Instagram followers with no complains!
And you keep changing your story and your requests! So what is going on here?

I purchased what I believed to be a roll of **** ********** half dollars in Gem condition. I have attached the Auction listing for your review When I received the invoice it was for only one coin (a roll is 20 coins) but they charged me for the amount I bid for 20 coins. I have attached the invoice for your review. This is at best deceptive if not fraudulent yet they refuse to issue a full refund.Business response

First let me start with the fact that this buyer was already refunded yesterday /attached copy of the refund above/, despite the fact that we are loosing fees and commissions, because this bidder did not do his due diligence to check the listing before bidding. The buyer never bothered to read the description, nor he bothered obviously to look at the images as well. He admitted so himself in the first email that he sent to us, which I have attached above under "email". He states:
"I reviewed my invoice and it seems to be for 1 ********************* I was under the impression I was bidding on a roll of ******** half dollars."
Our invoice is exact copy and paste of the listing itself and the description. Please compare both, which I have also attached above. So he did not read the description while bidding, but read it only after. Nowhere in the description it says that for sale are 20 coins and on the images there is only 1 coin. If for sale we offer more than 1 coin, on the images we show all the coins for sale and we specify the number of the coins. On the listing that this buyer placed his bids, we use single term "this item", again nowhere is stated that he will get 20 coins! Not to mention that the price for 20 of these coins will be at least 5-6 times more what he bid on and despite we have a very popular auction, no one else outbided him. Because everybody else read the description and saw the images of 1 coin only! Even then he did not bother to go back and check why no one else from so many bidders were not going after *********** and did not place more bids!
You can see examples from our listings with more than one coins here:
