On Monday April 25 my husband and I checked into the hotel around 7:30 pm and after bringing our items/suitcase into the hotel we left to purchase food for dinner. When we came back to the hotel around 8:30 we had dinner in the main living room with the ** on (we though we heard a noise in the bedroom but through nothing of it). by 9:30-45 my husband went directly to bed and passed out (he getup every morning at 4:30 AM for work and works until 7pm everyday so when he comes home he's exhausted). I went to bed around 10:30 Pm and shortly afterwards I started to hear an odd banging banging noise come from next door/up above me? I couldn't tell. The noise ran in intervals every 30 seconds or so, with short pauses up to a minute with a banging noise came every 4 to 10 seconds in each interval. The noise never went away so I went downstairs around 12:30 AM to show the receptionist videos I took of the banging noise. The receptionist knew what it was right away and said that the banging noise happens when it's windy outside like it was that night. She said that she will let the manager know and mentioned I would get compensated, I added a free stay? I left back to my room and could not sleep that night because of the noise. My husband woke up at 4:30 and heard the noise (noticing that I was up as well) and asked me what that was. I told him the front desk told me the noise happens when it's windy outside. I checked out later that afternoon at 1PM and told the **** of my experience and that I showed the night receptionist a video of the noise and that she verified it was the wind causing it. The **** told me they would give me a 20% discount. I was in a hurry and did not want to argue. Later I called up cooperate ************ to complain, they said some one would call me back for a refund but no one ever did. I was only offered points by corporate. My case# is ***********. If they knew about the banging noise why didn't they repair it and continue to rent out the room?
