Contracted Pruitt Construction to build a new deck and gazebo May 2021.Deck and gazebo construction where to be per the drawings we had generated by ************************** in *********, **. During the long construction process had nothing but issues with poor workmanship and constant errors being made almost daily with a don't worry response that will get fixed from owner ***** Pruitt.Continued to work in good faith with Pruitt Construction who now started to not show to work on the project which we had been told would take about 4 weeks and actually took them around 25 weeks and all was not completed as was too cold to finish some of the painting and soffit work. Again on good faith we worked with ***** who promised to complete the project first thing in the spring and repair some of the issues we had found like the screen door to the gazebo no longer opening and closing due to the door frame not being square, etc.When we started to contact ***** about completing the painting and repairs in mid April 2022 he did not respond to the first 4-5 attempts at contacting him. When he did reply he advised we would need to pay him another $1,750.00 to complete the work which had already been paid in full at $38,129.48 for the complete project. Invoice **** attached showing paid. Since he now would not complete the required work and we made the error of paying in full last year I contacted the ******************** to see what they might be able to do since they issued the building permit and inspections.They had a building inspector come back out to review the project against the drawings and found numerous things not completed correctly on our deck and gazebo project. These findings are attached for your review along with the drawings and other applicable documents and now the building inspection is considered not closed. Should they be needed I still have all the text strings from ***** showing his commitment to complete the project and correct the issues.
