After years of coming to this place i left on January 19 sad, traumatized and to the point that i didn't want to see myself in a mirror. They chemically burned 22" of my hair and left me with 4 different shades of browns. My hair was dark brown. I wanted to color it chocolate copper on the dark side, nothing crazy! You would think that the owner will reach out and say something, never happened. I also have all the text where her employee refused to fix it and wanted me to pay her $500+. I am beyond sad, depressed, traumatized and honestly im adding all the pictures, receipts to prove all the years of me coming to this place and paying 300+400+ each service. The cherry on top the owner canceled all my future appointments.Business response

Hello,
The guest did have a chemical reaction after visiting our salon. We have not been able to confirm what agents the guest may have used in her hair prior to her visit. We strive for the best guest experience, so we offered multiple options and opportunities to correct her issue. We offered free extensions and free treatments for a year. This however, was not deemed sufficient by the guest. She wanted additional services and products at no charge that were not part of the restoration. We would have loved to work with her to get her to the best option, but her communication changed from communicative to aggressive threatening us with multiple complaints. At this point, her services were refunded and we thought it was best for her to pursue other options.
In addition, she has her family and friends posting multiple negative reviews weekly. She also disputed charges not related to this service, including products she bought and kept. We tried our best to satisfy her and correct her issue, wishing it was a cordial conversation instead of the outcome.

I am rejecting this response because:
On January 19 her stylist chemically burned my hair. The stylist told me she was going to fix my hair to not worry about it. After that I had to make multiple attempts to get my hair appointment and I was ignored or told that they didnt have time. After I kept asking for the owner because her stylist was not doing anything to fix my hair, the stylist finally after weeks made time to see me only because I was persistent to speak to the owner. On February 1st I finally met the owner so she could see my hair. The owner told me that my hair was not that bad and that it was better than hers while I was crying about how long it took me to grow it out. The owner then told me that we can do extensions or hair treatments not both like they promised when they burned my hair. At the end we agreed to do 2 hair treatments and then assess the condition of my hair for the hair extensions. When I got home she canceled the appointments, so my husband called the salon. *** the owner told my husband that she canceled everything because he ( my husband) posted a review. She said she the owner did her homework and traced the review to an instagram account that was my husbands. He does not have any social media so I checked the review and it was a Hispanic name. Sadly Im assuming because of that it automatically was my husband since we are Hispanic. At the end of the phone call my husband told her that it was not him and she said that she the owner was going to reinstate the appointments. After 2 weeks she never gave me the appointments. I then posted my review of what happened since she was not going to do anything.I was never disrespectful or out of line like she stated, I just wanted my hair fixed.I have all the text messages where she canceled, ignored and gave me the prices to fix what they did.

Hello,
The complaint in question received 2 corrective visits after the initial appointment. There were no charges for the corrective visits, and the initial appointment. Originally the plan was to have additional treatments provided at no charge. At that point the person in question wanted to treat the salon as all inclusive resort with endless products and services. We would have gladly obliged, however, threats were made to file a complaint and go somewhere else, we simply granted the wish.
Glam Street Salon fosters a rich culture of diversity and inclusion. Our leadership team and staff are comprised of various backgrounds, nationalities, including Hispanics, and various sexual orientation. Mentioning your race in the complaint was completely unnecessary. Having additional people that you know write reviews that have never had services performed is unethical and slanderous. We wish you luck in the future with a different establishment.
