      My 2016 Chevrolet Equinox started having some issues aftter I took my truck to Flag or City Chevrolet in Grayslake IL.(The name has chaned again recently) for an oil change in December of 2022. After about a month and a half my truck just started driving slowly and would not pick up any speed. I had taken the truck to get it checked out by haviing diagnostic test done on my truck.at a couple of shops near my home. Both repair shops concluded that the timing chain had broken. There are other parts that need to be fixed or replaced when a timing belt is replaced.

      -I bought a 2008 used ***** HHR SS from this dealership in mid-January of this year. No warranty on the vehicle.-About a week after owning (1/27/23) the car started experiencing major overheating issues. -Took the car to my local mechanic who discovered the cooling system was contaminated with a Stop Leak substance. The substance was also all over the thermostat. -Mechanic performed a coolant flush and replaced the thermostat. Pressure tested the cooling system and found no pressure leak but cautioned that the Stop Leak could be a bandaid for a much bigger problem. But the overheating issue was solved temporarily. Cost $446 dollars.-Took back to my mechanic 2/21/23 because car was overheating again and the mechanic confirmed a blown head gasket on the engine, a major repair. I paid out of pocket to have the engine repaired and was without a vehicle for two months. Received car back from the mechanic on 4/18/23, and the cost of engine rebuild $3,000.00.-I was sold a car with a blown head gasket that had stop leak in the cooling system to temporarily mask the issue. There could be potentially more overheating issues with this car that go beyond the blown engine. Ive emailed the dealership (no response) and also called them to be told our GM will call you back to see what we can do for you but as of me typing up this message, I am still waiting for that call. I also contacted ***** corporate to inform them of the situation and was told the only thing they could do was send my complaint to the dealer and ask them to contact me. I've never been contacted by anyone from the dealership.

      I purchased a new car from city ***** in Grayslake, ill. and saw a fee off 299 dollars when asked they told me that they have to charge that per the state of ILL they also said that I would get a discount on my insurance because of it, then I checked and found out that I do not get a discount on my insurance and that I don't need that on my car, I told them I did not want that , but the manager said that every car needs to have it, I am asking to be refunded my 299 dollars for this fee, they refuse to do so

      I have not got a phone call from the  dealership, the only thing they have done is send me text msg's that I'm a terrible customer, and that they gave me a deal when no one else would. this is not the way a business should act toward a customer.
