I registered as a student with Star truck driving school for part-time weekend classes on 11-22-21, with classes starting on 1-15-22 through 3-20-22. A down-payment of $500.00 was paid to Star truck driving school on 11-22-21 to "hold" my spot for class. The remaining balance of $2,200.00 would be paid on my first scheduled day of class (1-15-22). All requirements for class have been fulfilled a month prior to starting school, (ex...commercial learners permit, DOT medical card, Drug test). I arrived at Star truck driving school on 1-15-22 at 6:45am, 15 minutes before my class starts, with the anticipation of paying the remaining $2,200.00 of tuition. An instructor informed me that there will be no more part-time weekend classes, and to take it up with office personnel for any questions. Therefore, resulting in never being able to attend one single class I paid for, plus wasted time and resources. After leaving the school I called the office and left them a voicemail on 1-15-22 at 10:23am asking how we can resolve this issue. I never received a phone call or e-mail from Star wanting to resolve this issue. I typed up a letter of withdrawal from the school on 1-15-22 and asked for a full refund of my $500.00. The letter was expedited and certified with signature on delivery. Star truck driving school received the letter on 1-19-22 at 10:54am delivered by ***** I am filing this complaint because I paid money for a service and never received the service. I would like a full refund of $500.00 to resolve this issue.Business response

Of course we will return the $500 deposit. We werent able to start another weekend class due to the change in availability from some of our instructors. Most of the students who were in that class just moved to another class during the week. I am very sorry that ***** letter was overlooked. We share the same address as another company and often times they received our mail. Not saying that this was the case here but could have been why the letter wasnt addressed. I will reach out to ****************** and let him know that we can either put a check in the mail or he can come and pick one up from the school during office hours. Please let me know if you need anything else at this time and again, I am so sorry this was not taken care of months ago. Many apologies.
