In re my daughter, *******************, receiving behavioral health services with various providers under this umbrella "organization" of Alexian Brothers, dating back to 2020, the company's billing department submitted claims to our, at the time, behavioral health insurance provider, Beacon Health with a simple error in the PROVIDER ADDRESS that caused claims to be denied. The most recent claim is for service 12/20/21, beacon claim number ****************** in the amount of $157. There are multiple claims over 2020 and 2021 which suffered this same fate and resulted in HOURS and HOURS of phone calls between me and AB and the insurance company. Alexian has a baffling organizational system in which no one with the power to do anything will speak to anyone. The "customer service" has some people who identified the problem and others who misidentified. The "system" repeatedly sent full amount bills with overdue notices on claims that were denied with the reason: "please submit a corrected claim with the valid contracted location". Lawyers and the insurance company have clarified that as a contract provider THEY ARE NOT LEGALLY ALLOWED TO DO THIS. And they've done it repeatedly for two years and the hours and hours I've spent eventually sort out a single claim, only to have the very next one rejected for exactly the same reason. All these bad bills have to be followed up by me, or else I risk their "system" kicking these bad bills to collection. The most recent spat of calls, on which I was involuntarily served by overseas billing staff, included blatant misinformation and gross mis-representation of the facts, i.e. when the truth was that insurance had rejected a claim for the reason above, I was told that insurance told them I had to call insurance to update my account. Insurance later confirmed NO ONE FROM AB HAD EVEN CONTACTED THEM.Initial Complaint

My mother was a resident at the Alexian Brothers hospice (on ***** Street) in *****************. We gave the hospice a $5,600 deposit for one month of my mother's residency. My mother only lived for 17 days while at Alexian Brothers. Our family is due the remainder of our deposit for the 14 days after her passing.My mother died on July 25, 2021. I have contacted Alexian Brothers 16 times since then about getting the rest of our deposit back. I have spoken with 3 different reps who have promised repeatedly to help get us our money as quickly as possible. It is now January of 2022 and our family still doesn't have our check.
