Paid royalty contracting for a deposit on my pool liner in April or early March. They stated they would contact me in their contract 2 weeks prior to recieve another portion of their labor. They have not contacted me whatsoever until I contacted them today with tons of excuses. They admitted they were at fault for minimal communication, but want me to pay a further deposit before they will start work on my pool liner. They still will not give me an exact date. They stated March was not good enough for weather on IL, but March was very nice They were actually in ****** celebrating their proposal and its on ********** I requested my deposit back, but they stated if I didn't pay another deposit per the contract they would forfeit my deposit. It also states They would contact me 2 weeks prior to install and I was the one who reached out. If I didn't reach out who knows when my liner would have been completed. This is bad business practices and I am uncomfortable paying anyone money when they can not secure a date, even with weather permitting. Everyone else I have contacted gave me a date, but I went with this contractor because he claimed he would get it done sooner than later understanding my pool was empty due to a liner split. He has not got it done sooner and I should have went with a Contractor who would have done it may 5th. Please help!!!! I just want mu $120 deposit back. I even asked if I could have half as I do not want them any longer and do not want to pay someone for an unknown date and be in a worse situation.
