Almost 2 weeks ago I took my car in with a third gear grind . The transmission works good it just grinds when i put it into third gear . It still works , including the third gear, it just makes a grinding noise in short , theyre giving an estimate of $8,000. Which is insanely ridiculous especially after *** talked to different mechanics and multiple sources online of owners of cars similar to mine. Now they want to offer me the option of replacing the whole transmission with a refurbished one. Again, my cars problem is very minor . I understand its pricey ,I expect it to be around $1500 because of the labor mostly . But the problem itself requires as far as I know , should only be a few parts . Not the insane amount of damage theyre describing to me. Please contact me, call me, I can explain the whole situation better in detail. On top of this, it took them a full week to even just give an estimate. Currently its been almost 2 weeks and my car is still at the shop with nothing fixed . Its ridiculous . They even said the work theyve done so far is worth $1500 and is about **** hours of work. So theyve done **** hours of work in one week? RidiculousInitial Complaint

Date of transaction: 05/2021 Amount: $3900 I paid this company the above amount to remove my old ************** out of my 92 ***** Camaro, and install a new engine and trans. I've purchase numerous other parts and did 90% of the leg work to get my car running. They have not been communicating with me when there has been an issue and instead leave it up to me to call the shop and get updates. This business has had possession of my vehicle for almost over 8 months now and my vehicle still will not run and they are still not communicating on a timely manner. They have been paid in full for approx. 5-6 months now and I still don't have what I paid for, PLEASE HELP ME!!!Business response

Customer brought their own parts engine and transmission electric harness and relays from the junkyard and computer .We are just the installers !! We installed the engine we installed the transmission for them they brought us the wrong eng. harness and computer and relays the wrong ones we can't finish the car unless they bring us the right engine harness with correct computer and relays . because we're just the installers !!!Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:
I have bought every part requested for my services to be completed. I initially was charged $1800 to take out my old eng & trans to replace with a new one. This company charged me an additional $2100 to complete my job. They also lost one of my payments for $500 so I have to pay an additional $500 which was included in the second charge of $2100. They have had my vehicle since May of 2021. The communication is non existent and as of last week I was told to come and get my vehicle because they dont know what they are doing. I would like to have half of my payment back since the car is still not operable so I can take it to somewhere else. I paid this company to install my engine and trans properly in full months ago and I still have not received to service that was paid in full for.

Our stand is still the same they brought their own parts ************* for them now they have the wrong harness Computer relays they need to bring us the right harness computer relays to finish the job Customer bring parts responsible for the parts not us our job is only to install what they bring us.
