******* LADDER ROOFING GROUP PLLC: Uncompleted work, poor workmanship and possibly illegal work Our building at **************************** hired Jacobs Ladder through *************************, to perform a roof replacement and install a new deck on a 6 unit building in the city. The contractor performed very poor quality work which has cause damage to our building, and has not come back to finish nor fix the issues. We have paid 100 percent of the roof. scope which is uncomplete, and have also paid a 50 percent deposit for the deck work (which has not started). The contractor has not responded to our phone calls in months and has not performed work since December. We have full documentation of the issues as well as logs of communications since work started. Here are a few of the issues we would like to highlight in our complaint:1. Contractor has not provided a COI upon starting work as indicated in the contract 2. Contractor is in breach of contract and has not completed work within the agreed time period indicated in the contract (12/12/22)/3. Contractor promised to send us copies of permits and has not provided them. We are now unsure if the work performed was properly permitted by the ***************.4. Contractor has not returned our calls in months. We have paid almost $100k in fees which includes a deposit for work that has't even begun. 5. Contractor use unlicensed labor to handle our HVAC systems 6. Contractor promised a 30-year material warranty in the contract we signed for the *** roofing system. We spoke with the manufacturer who informed the building that this contractor was not an affiliate with them and that we would therefore only receive a 1-year basic warranty for the material. 7. In November, the contractor had claimed to have finished installing the roof which was untrue. During heavy rains two units suffered water damages. The contractor has promised to fix it and has not.
