Owner of this plumbing business quoted a price for installation of a whole home water filter. He stated to me on the telephone his quote was as follows per the conversation: $59 service call to show up. $100 per hour for labor. Plus parts that are needed. After the job was completed by a gentleman and his assistant. They called the office for the billing to be completed by the owner. The result came back as $175 per hour which was reduced from $200 per hour because there were two workers. Plus they purchased materials from Menards and up charged almost double charged for the parts. The two workers were great and did a great job. The boss on the other hand was very dishonest with his quoting. Upon calling him directly after the job was complete to inquire about the difference in rates he stated "I said it was $100 per hour per worker" I stated that is not what we agreed to. My wife was there and heard all conversations with this gentleman before and after the job was completed. He then got belligerent and stated to me "how would you like for me to make this right *****" then hung up the phone on me. I only called him to inform him of what we discussed previously and to be careful quoting people in the future. I was not raising my voice or swearing at him at all. He was very confrontational with me like he was prepared for this type of reaction. I now know the owner to be dishonest and purposely misquoting jobs. The workers were great and did good work. Stay away from this dishonest owner or your pocket book will be a lot less full because of it.
