I took my vehicle in to Vaupell Auto Repair on 1/27/2023 at 9:00 a.m. for a wheel alignment and tire balancing. I shedule it with ***** on 1/19/23 at 4:00 p.m. I explained to ***** on 3 different occasion that my concern was a small rub in the right front tire. I told Brain that I was not sure if I needed a wheel alignment or tire balancing. ***** told me to bring the Vehicle in and they would check and see what the problem was and would let me know what was wrong. Instead of Brain, or the Service Advisor **************** or the Technician ****************** calling me to inform me about the problem with the vehicle they proceeded to do a wheel alignment and tire balancing. I picked the vehicle up at 3:00 p.m. and discovered that the problem was worse than when I brought it in. I made a U turn on 25th Ave and *********************************************************. I went back to the auto shop and told ***** that the vehicle was riding worse than when I brought it in. ***** than said to me the problem was in the steering wheel. I asked ***** if the problem was in the steering wheel, why would you take my money and do a wheel alignment and tire balancing. ***** than said to me, we fixed what you asked us to fixed. I than told ***** me and him had already discussed that I was not sure what the problem was and needed for them to let me know if I needed a wheel alignment and tire balancing. I also noticed that I picked the vehicle up my check engine light was on in the vehicle. The check engine light has never came on since I have had the vehicle, so ***** went into the auto garage and got a code reader and said it was my gas cap, he said my gas cap was not tight. So he turned the gas cap and told me to take the lock gas cap off and put the original one back on. I also noticed that ***** didn't give me a print out of the wheel alignment, I had to ask for it. ***** then begin to tell me that the technician couldn't adjust the left front wheel and the back two wheels, left and right. ***** made multiple appointments and multiple times never showed. Each time ***** asked for a wheel alignment and tire balance. I have asked multiple times what's wrong with the wheel alignment. She never gave me a clear answer other then it needs it. When she dropped the vehicle off I asked again that we are doing a wheel alignment and tire balancing. She replied yes. We did align the vehicle to all factory settings. The rear is not adjustable from the factory. It's **** degrees out. The front is also not adjustable without replacing the coil springs. But again the spec was off by **** degrees. There will be no drivability concern. The tire balancing was completed. I called and told her the vehicle is ready for pickup. she asked what's the noise. I asked her what noise? She replied a rub. I took the vehicle out for a extended test drive and can faintly hear the internal of the steering column has a rub noise. This is not adjustable without rebuilding the steering column. I recommend her to go to ******. She said that was fine. The faint noise is common for older vehicles and not and safety concern. She then asked me why her headlights don't turn off. I checked the vehicle operations and found headlights to work as designed. She then asked my while they don't automatically turn off like her Pontiac. My replay to her was the vehicle was ordered with manual headlights. She is correct My tech did forget to put the alignment sheet in the vehicle. We normally leave them on the passenger seat. That's out mistake. She asked me for one and I offed to mail it to her or she can come pick it up. When she picked up the sheet her check engine light was on. The light was not on before. I scanned the codes and found P0455 large EVAP Leak. I asked ***** if she recently got gas? She said a few days ago. I checked the gas cap and found the cap to be loose. We also found a aftermarket locking gas cap was installed. On ****** products you can only us a factory O.E.M. Fuel cap. I erased the light. She then called and left four voicemails starting Friday night at 10pm. We are not open over the weekend. She called me Monday at 11 am. I would have called her earlier but we are short staffed by ********* due to Covid. Also cleaning up from snow. I offer ***** full refund of $200 dollars cash. She came and picked up her refund 1/30 at 4:15pm. We have her on multiple security Camera's She then stated that she was happy and she would call BBB and clear everything up with her. I can provide all videos if needed.
