So, I booked my room through Expedia along with insurance on 8/2 for the dates of 8/25-8/28. First time ever, and I regret it. Well my sons graduation date changed to the 2nd of September. I immediately contacted the hotel around the 18th and asked the lady that answered the phone what steps did I need to take to get my dates changed. She tells me that her manager was not in and that she would make a note of what I needed and he would call me back. Well no one called me back. I called them back and got the same lady and she told me that she would make a note and call him to see if he was able to make the changes and that he would get back to me. Again, no one called me. I call back only to find out from the manager ****/ ***** on Sunday 8/28 that I should have contacted Expedia, because its nothing they could do. Well i go back and forth with both companies only to get no resolution. Even with the notes that I had been reaching out to the hotel for help; they still refused to accommodate me or give me my money. Labeled my reservation as a no show when clearly I had been trying to get help with changing my dates. Finally, Expedia get the manager of the hotel and they tell them that they will cancel my reservation but wont give me a refund. I wanted the dates changed but if they couldnt or wouldnt I wanted my money back. Im upset because if I had known from the first time calling the hotel to call Expedia I would not be out of $562. I wish I could provide you all with contact documentation from the first call but I was unable to as my call log deleted it after so many calls. I feel like I was treated unfairly and should have been directly led to the right people when I very first called and I wouldnt be a unhappy customer. I will never use either companies services again. They were not understanding at all with a customer who was booking with with for the first time.
