On 2/13/23 and again on 4/21/23, I received two letters (in the same envelope) from nbkc bank stating errors were made from a mortgage escrow account they service that impacted my property. (We do not have a mortgage with nbkc) They stated an erroneous tax payment of ******** on 4/21/22 and ******* on 10/05/21 were made to my tax parcel. It stated copies of their cancelled checks and vouchers were enclosed (they were not). It stated my tax collector gave them our names as the party responsible and that we had 45 days to reimburse nbkc bank or we would be referred to a collection agency. I contacted our mortgage company who checked our history and said our mortgage company had made the correct payments for those dates. I contacted our county tax office and they stated they received payment from our mortgage company and no additional payments were made by nbkc bank or anyone other mortgage company. I contacted the number provided on the letters for the nbkc bank **********************) and they had no idea where the letter came from. They transferred me a couple times and could not find anyone who knew what to do about this. They recommended I write the above summary in the letter and send it in the envelope provided, which had the tax division at nbkc bank address. I did that and also included a confirmation letter from our tax auditor (Hennepin county **) stating our mortgage company paid our taxes and there were no other erroneous payments. I aent that response on 4/21/23. Today, I received the same threatening letters dated 7/6/23. I am requesting that this matter be resolved and that a communication from nbkc bank be sent to me confirming that these letters were sent in error and I am not responsible for any reimbursement.
