      Title: Deceptive Practices at Napleton Mazda - Buyer Beware I visited Napleton Mazda in 12/23 attracted by their promotion of 0% financing for 60 months on the Mazda CX-5. After negotiating a deal and agreeing to a purchase price of $33,000 with monthly payments of $550, things took an unexpected turn during the finance portion of the deal. The finance manager, ******, claimed to save me money by reducing my monthly payment to $546 and throwing in 4 years of tire rotations and oil changes as a bonus. When I asked him how he was able to do this, he reached into the top drawer of his desk, pulled out a stack of coupons and said, "Like this."However, upon reviewing the finance paperwork later, I discovered that the duration of the financing plan was extended to 63 months without my knowledge or consent. The extended term was not disclosed during negotiation or in any dealership advertisements. When I sought clarification the next morning, ****** admitted that the extended term was due to the inclusion of extras, a fact never mentioned when presenting the reduced monthly payment.Fortunately, I was able to resolve the issue with the manager's intervention and it took several days, a lot of calls and me being on top of it. However, this experience raises concerns about the dealership's transparency and honesty. I fear that others may fall victim to similar misleading practices.I urge potential buyers to exercise caution and thoroughly review all paperwork before finalizing any deals at Napleton Mazda. The integrity of the automotive sales industry should not be compromised by deceptive tactics like these. Also, I never received anything regarding the oil changes and tire rotations, so who knows if that was even real. And my mom loves my car, so I plan on taking her to a different Mazda dealership. Thank goodness Napleton doesn't own them all.

      Purchased a used Mazda CX-5. I have absolutely nothing poor to say about the sales experience. *** was an incredible sales rep and I left feeling confident they worked the price down the best they possibly could have. Ive had the car about a day now and its exactly what I have been looking for and initially preforms greater than expectations. This was my first car purchase through a dealership vs. a private seller and not one stereotype or clich was felt. Ask for *** and Ill be recommending Napleton Mazda of Libertyville to whomever I come across.

      Spent at least 7 months saving up to get a car. I come here to see a 2007 *** Acura that is a little over $7k. As a student I just need something functional. So they show me the car and it looks well kept: few to no scratches, and clean interior, decent milage for its age. They tell me that the car has already been inspected but when it comes to test driving the car has a minor starting problem. They reassure they will fix the minor issue (which they did). I drive off with the car on 12/21/21; however, 6 days after driving off with the *** (12/27/21) I get a check engine light, and on top of that the radio turns off randomly and doesn't turn back on until I the engine off and back on (I thought it was most likely a fuse). I take it the next day to the dealer (12/28/21) and tell them about the light and radio. They tell me that the technician isn't in so they tell me they will call me to set up an appointment later that day (they never called me). I call the next day they give me an appointment until the 4th of January because there is nothing available sooner. When I take the car they tell me that the problem is the thermostat ($370) and that the radio's problem isn't a fuse that the whole monitor needs to be replaced (the cost $1100 and with labor $1270). They tell me the repairs are my responsibility because it is past the 10 day period. I tell them that I came 6 days after I bought the car to report the issue and that there was no technician and that they set my appointment until past the ********************************************************************************************************* that the radio is not part of the car's inspection?!!! Like a radio is such an essential part of a car (what person doesn't listen to something while on the road) ?!!! Why wouldn't they check it?

      STAY AWAY FROM NAPLETON MAZDA! They are dishonest and are abusive to teenagers and the elderly. My 19 year old grandson traded in his 2019 ****** Corolla for a 2011 Infinity. The first night he drove it home he could hear the brakes sqeeking and there was a burning smell. The franchise owner **** said they would inspect the car and fix the problem.. My grandson had 72 hours to cancel the purchase and he went back the next day to do just that. The salesman had a huge argument with him and told him he couldn't return the car. The dealership manager **** called the next day and told us we could not cancel the purchase and that he was not going to fix anything on the car. I had half ownership of the ****** Corolla traded in. **** told me I had to sign over my interest in the car. I went to see **** the next day. I asked "What if I don't sign away the ******?'. I am 74 years old and **** is a tall, strong man. He stood over me and told me he had the upper hand and if I didn't sign off on the car he would *** me and it would cost me $50,000. He really threatened me. Plus. when they were doing the financing for the car they told my grandson they would only do two hard credit inquiries. My grandsons financing was approved by ***** Fargo but the dealership did 5 more hard credut inquires with other companies which really affected my grandsons credit score.. i believe they did this is retaliation for my grandson wanting to cancel the purchase.. Dealing with the people at that dealership was a nightmare

      I dont recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a vehicle they dont hold truthful to what they tell you before and after the purchase and dont want to fix anything that goes wrong the first couple of days that you drive the vehicle shop somewhere else
