08/17/2024 I paid the company $********.00 *********** was supposed to load my furniture and packed boxes from my house and deliver and unload them at my new address. (2 1/2 miles, away)They verified an itemized list of all pieces to be picked up at my place, a couple of days before the move was to take place. When the 3 movers arrived, for pick up, the one that spoke English, told me that Id have to pay several hundred dollars more, to have my items moved. I told him that I had a contract. They movers spoke Spanish, between themselves. I told him I even obtained a cashiers check, as I was instructed to do, in the amount of ******. The man didnt care; he said they couldnt move the items, unless I paid the higher fee. I said I need talk to a manger. He got on the phone, speaking Spanish to someone, and I was handed the phone. The man I spoke with, told me that the fee to move was higher, due to space, even though I told him that I had a contract telling me otherwise. (Their company agreed to take all the verified specified items,) I was told if I cancelled the move that I would forfeit my deposit of ******. (paid on 07/16/2024).I broke down crying and told them to move whatever they could move for all the money I had already spent. They moved 7 items out of my 4 bedroom home. ********. When they moved the few furniture items into my apartment, the English speaking mover opened his briefcase, and gave me an additional amount to look at, on my bill. He said they added ****** on for a long walk, down the hallway. He handed me a paper to write my credit card information on, to pay the rest of what I owed, which was ******. I told him Im not going to hand my credit card info over to him, and the movers. He pulled an app up on his phone, and had me pay through the app., and I put the remaining ****** on my *********** card.(*********** that I paid the deposit of ****** to was:All Coastal Moving *********** The remaining ******** was paid to Unlimited Movers)

This company blatantly stole my most expensive items during the move. I had a large suitcase full of all of my expensive ski gear, furs, winter clothing, amongst other expensive gear for skiing. The items in that suitcase are worth well over 10K! I didn't get some of my furniture either. Two of my end tables are missing, all of my boxes came crushed and soaked and have water damage to all of my clothing and electronics. The furniture that made it here was either soaking wet as well or broken. These people have no regard for your personal belongings. This move came out to be far more expensive than if I were to move all of these things myself. The purpose of using a moving company and paying them thousands of dollars is so your items can get to another state safely and properly. It's like I paid thousands of dollars to be robbed and cheated. At this point, I paid over 4k for the move and I am owed over 12K in addition to that for my lost items. I need this company to find my things or cut me a check. This is the most unjust circumstance in regards to my personal belongings I have ever gone through in my life. In addition, my mattress was soaking wet and smelled foul. Everything smelled like urine, although I really hope that is not the case. Where are my things?! My ski gear is worth several thousands and I will not rest until I am given my things in return or reimbursed. In addition, these things are not easily found in stores. They are one of a kind and these people intentionally took what was most valuable of mine. If I have to get a lawyer involved to be compensated, I certainly will! I was very cordial and kind to everyone I dealt with during this process. I am now furious and that streak of kindness has ended. Do what's right, or receive a letter from my lawyer. In addition, I tried to reach the one person that reached out to me from this company, and he is nowhere to be found by phone or email. Do what is right!

They don't care, they lie about charges, the break doorframes, they DO NOT CARE, they threw boxes around breaking things inside leaving a glass trail and tried to say "that's not from your things" while laughing about it. (I watched them, and even said "hey can yall not break everything" they laughed) I had to tell them how to pack the boxes into the truck as they tried to say there wasn't space when 12 boxes could have fit where they had FOUR. I called to complain about all of this, and the fact that they charged me ***** more than I was originally told (i have documents, and witnesses on what i was told) (i agreed to pay roughly $650 more for extra space, after they loaded everything i was given a final price of 3 grand more than the original price) and the manager said "there's nothing I can do"

I am rejecting this response because:

No, I sent the original estimate and the one I was made to sign AFTER being lied to and they had already put everything on the truck. I was told it would be roughly $650 more than the original estimate and was then presented with the one that's roughly 3 grand more. I was told it was too late to take things off the truck and I didn't have an option but to pay it.

On top of everything they broke and the lack of professionalism. I have witnesses to the agreement of $650 more. And witnesses to me calling them out for lying about the cost.

UPDATE- now im being told its going to cost even MORE to be able to get my things delieverd

I want paid for every single thing that is broken including the doorway of the house my stuff was picked up at. I also want my drop off fees to be "discounted" back to the original $743 it should have been. I want my things delivered and I want to stop being lied to and bullied.

      Sincerely,

Upon pickup the company demanded an additional cash payment just to handle my things after receiving a hefty deposit. Leaving me with no choice at the last minute. They then quoted me an entirely different number the day of my move. (***** additional dollars than the ***** I had agreed too on the original quote), the picture I attached is of the final quote they gave me that i received the day of the move. I feel like what they do is illegal. Their communication was horrible and no one disclosed to me until the day of my move that my stuff would be held at a warehouse until being put on a truck. With no other choice but to stick with them after putting down all my money on a Deposit for their services, they took my things and then took a week to deliver them. Brought some really interesting characters into my home. On top of the scam that they are playing, they also stole multiple boxes of mine, leaving me without a lot of important things. ******, the dispatch manager that I worked with has been unresponsive. An overall really bad experience and I have yet to receive follow up about my missing things and how they will be replaced. I feel scammed and stolen from. Do not use this company.

We hired Unlimited Moving and Storage to move our belongings from ******* to ******* on June 10th. The move was scheduled to be on June 27 or 28th. We chose them based on a conversation with *****************************, who quoted us $1860 for the move. We detailed our items, including several large artworks and furniture. Despite reassurances, the inventory listed in the quote did not match our discussion. ****** assured us the price would not change significantly, so we paid a downpayment of $585.90.Four days before the move, ******, another agent, reviewed our inventory and claimed it was inaccurate. She increased the quote to over $3400. This time, we sent photos/videos to ensure accuracy and she felt that this new quote was the right space for our move, so we trust her. On this day, we paid $277.97 more for the down payment. She put me in touch with ******, who was going to schedule my truck. On June 26th at 9:34 pm she sent a text message letting me know that the truck will come on July 28th. The day of the move (June 28th), we were told at 10:58 am that the truck would arrive between 3-5 pm the same day. The communication was extremely poor causing a lot of stress to my family. I have a 2-year old and a dog therefore, the impact of not having clear information to help us plan was awful.Upon arrival, the driver claimed we needed more space, raising the quote to $4700, a 152% increase from the initial quote. We also discovered discrepancies: ****** claimed there would be no charge for moving items from the third floor, which the driver contradicted.Given these issues, we canceled the move, but Unlimited Moving and Storage refused to refund our downpayment. ******* response to my complaint was dismissive, and she claimed they would win any BBB complaint. She also failed to follow up as promised. This experience caused significant stress and inconvenience for my family. Unlimited Moving and Storage's poor service and lack of transparency are unacceptable.

On May 7, 2024 I contacted Coastal Moving Services, LLC for a quote regarding my move from ** to **. I accepted the $3452 quote for a June 28th pickup, giving a $2213.16 deposit, with the understanding I would have an inventory call to adjust any items I needed to remove or add. After having to adjust all but one item due to everything being incorrectly labeled "small", my total jumped to $5989.77. Note: I reviewed my spreadsheet with every furniture dimension including boxes. I then had to give another payment of $1475.99 during the inventory call which left the expected total to the pick up company, Unlimited Moving and Storage, as $2300.62. On June 28, 2024, Unlimited Moving and Storage was to arrive between 4p-7p MT to load the truck. But there previous two pickups took the entire truck and they were forced to unload at the warehouse before returning to load my belongings. Prior to going to the warehouse the driver came by my (801 sqft) apartment and stated I would need almost double the amount of cubic square footage as indicated on my paperwork. They did not return to begin loading until 830p MT. And were not finished until 1045p MT.The total moving cost was now $8869.49, in which $5180.50 was required to be paid to Unlimited Moving and Storage. This cost was broken up into two payment- $3108.30 in order to get my belongings ON the truck and $2072.20 to get them OFF on July 11th when the truck arrived. I had no other options and was forced to pay the additional $2879.88 I contacted Coastal Moving Services, LLC on July 17, 2024 and they are issuing a meager $500 refund. I attempted to escalate the issue further but was told no and that Unlimited Moving and Storage would not be offering any refund. I did my due diligence in organizing my detailed inventory list and and my belongings (broke down 3 wire bookcases, wrapped picture frames, etc) in order to get a reasonable price and easy move. The unexpected price gouging is unacceptable.

I engaged Unlimited to move me from ** to ***I paid for a full pack and move. They arrived a day early in the middle of the afternoon working until midnight to get everything boxed up. In ******* they did not protect the house and caused significant damage to the antique floors which had to be redone to finalize the house sale. They refused to pay the repair costs having acknowledged they caused the damage. In addition they doubled the charge saying the truck was full (I have photos that it was less than half full). On delivery it became apparent a number of things had been disassembled that they could not get back together again, and several boxes and larger items had been lost

March 3rd, 2024: we were given an estimate for $2,962 for a move from ** to **. we paid them $1232 (deposit). We were then put in contact with ******************************************** our pick-up date would be April 25th (the LAST day we were available to move), sometime in the morning, then it changed to between 2:30-4:30pm but On the day of the move, they arrived at 7:45pm. the head of the crew, our itemized list in hand, said he could tell that theres not enough room on the truck. He said yes, they had had the list prior, but that they did not have enough room. He said it would be $7800 now. He called his boss after we debated this now almost 3-times-the-quoted-amount. He finally agreed to take our things for $5200. W/ no other options, them threatening to leave&NOT return our deposit, &the hours dwindling between now&when we had to leave, we ended up just signing the contract so we could start. This $5200 would be for them to take everything: at 12pm, He said they once again ran out of room. we were told to leave behind many items (a bike, microwave, bags of clothes, our lawn mower, patio furniture, etc). They also originally said things like our king sized bed&mattress would be 1 item, but then counted them as multiple items (headboard, mattress, frame and box spring were now 4?) This let them say we had more then 3x the amount of things to move (we went over the itemized list with them twice before the move). they packed our things&said that they wouldnt arrive on May 5th as originally told, but sometime between May *****th. When we called on May 10th, he said, h*** no. More like the 14th or 15th. He said we couldnt pay the remaining balance by credit card, but HAD to pay by cash. Day before arrival, they said the truck wouldnt fit on our street even though they had had our address for over a month&wed have to pay a shuttle fee to put our things on ANOTHER truck to get to us ($500). After they unpacked, we found that they had damaged almost $2000 of things.

Contracted with 3Brothers Moving to move my furniture and home belongings from *************** to ********************. Packing/move on June 7th with delivery on June 8th. No notification that Unlimited Moving and Storage was doing the move. Had to get a 2nd 26 truck as original estimate for. ***** sf home was not estimated correctly. Moving crew charged additional $5,500 for supplies and packing and wanted entire payment in cash. Instead of $6,800, with the addition of the 2nd truck and packing, total move cost $16,663 cash. 3Brothers set up the move for 2 days, ********* said they would deliver same day or we would pay additional $250/truck for overnight. Drove our belongings to new home in *********** arriving around 7pm, unloaded their trucks and piled furniture and boxes to the ceiling in 2 rooms and left. 3Brothers discussion regarding this move was that their movers would unpack furniture and boxes and put in rooms where it was to go. They would put together and set up beds, cabinets, desks that they took apart. This was not done. Our belonging were dumped in the house and heavy boxes were loaded on top of boxes marked fragile and crushed the box. At this point I dont have an ending inventory of what was delivered and not everything was moved from our home in ******. I feel as if this was a bait and switch and I want a refund for job not finished. So half of the move and the additional $5,500 we had to pay for packing. I had already been packing our belongings so it wasnt an entire house they packed themself. We feel they werent careful with packing and definitely not when unloading their trucks.

They picked up my delivery late and delivered my order late and did not compensate for the wait for goods. They picked up on 2.18.24 and said the delivery window would be between 2.29-3.13. I wasnt contacted for delivery until 3.18, less than 24hrs before the first attempt of delivery. They did not take into consideration the availability on my paperwork at pickup for when delivery could be made and was told they would return my goods to ********* and I would have to pay for redelivery. Delivery was finally done on 3.19.The driver tried to extort fees for a shuttle that was unnecessary. They threatened to return my belongings to ********* and make me pay to redeliver. I called dispatch and told them I had a stair fee on my paperwork when there werent stairs. They said fine there is an elevator fee.. when there was never one mentioned. Zero consistency and use threats to extort money from vulnerable people. Then I was told I was to pay a long carry and if I didnt pay before they unloaded they would leave my stuff in the street. I would never do business with a company that treats people this way. Threatening to hold your belongings hostage for more money. The driver ***** was horrible to my apartment manager and has multiple complaints naming him for threatening people and sexual harassment, yet when I mentioned this to **** with the moving company he acted like hes never seen anything. My boxes were damaged and ripped open, items were spilling out.I would like compensation for the late delivery.

      Hello

Customer was delivered on 03/19. There was no agreed guaranteed delivery date since all moves are subject for a reasonable delivery frame within 30 days.

We delivered with a semi truck. Truck couldn't park close to customer building resulting in a long walk fee of $250.00 according to agreed contract terms.

Original balance at delivery was $635.00 and we have discounted it to $560.00.

      Thank you

I am rejecting this response because:

The delivery payment due was not discounted.. the original amount due had charges that were wrong, services not provided so they charged me the accurate amount due at the end before they added on a long carry fee. The driver was given an option to use stairs for a closer range to residency and chose to park across the street and use the elevator. If he would have used the stairs and charged a stair fee it wouldnt have been as much.

      Sincerely,
