I purchased a car from the dealership on Monday 2-5-24 and I gave them a check for $4,855 and my credit card to payoff my vehicle. On 2-8-24 I receive a text from the finance manager ****** saying my card expiration is not valid so I gave him another card to run that day and it went through for the amount of $3000. My pay off was for 10 days for $7,053.91 but the dealership wanted to give more due to the perdiem of 90 cents daily. So my payment to the dealership was a total of $7,855.00 to pay off my vehicle. It is now Feb 26th 2024 and my vehicle is still not paid off. I contacted the finance manager ****** and he is looking in to it but I want to cover my self with any discrepancies with this business and with their responsibility to completely payoff my vehicle because it is over the payoff limit amount that was inquired back on 2-5-24. I'm not happy with this Toyota dealership and on top of that there was no follow-up call from ******, my sales rep, to see how my purchase was doing. I'm very disappointed and frustrated with them up to this point. Please have their manager or owner contact me to get this resolved asap. Thank you.

I am rejecting this response because:

Looking for a formal letter, from Toyota, to share the same information for reference which would include the person / department responsible for overseeing their effort as a result of the BBB complaint. And,who should I reach out if the situation is only temporarily resolved and I need to reach out again.

Once the letter is received, I would be happy to accept the resolution.

      Thank you

      Sincerely,

We bought a new car Toyota Corolla Hatchback from Toyota of Lincolnwood, the retail price is around 25k, they sold us with a price around 35k. On top of that, they add on 8k unnecessary service for a new car. We paid 10k down payment. They financed us with APR 22%, which is insanely high. With interest charge and total payments, the total sale price is around 70k. Apparently, the dealership just wanna rip us off buy selling an ordinary Toyota Corolla with 70k. We request either let us return the car, give us money back, or redo the finance, cancel all the add-ons, give a reasonable APR for us who dont have bad credit.

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

The dealership agreed that we can return the car, so we returned immediately on 21st, December. They agreed that they will refund our down payment. Now we are waiting for a 8k$ check refund from the dealership, which we haven't received yet till today.

      Sincerely,

I took my car in May 9th for a diagnostic and after a few weeks the parts finally came in. I took my car June 18th with absolutely no lights on my dashboard. I received a call stating that while the technician was working on my car a few lights came on but the issues are resolved. I picked my car up that same day and as soon as i left the service area all different code lights came on. I took my car right back in and the service rep ********* stated that those lights have nothing to do with the work that was done on my car, and that my car was perfectly safe to drive. I advised that i was not happy with that response and expect my car to be delivered in the same if not better condition that i dropped it off in. She responded with "bring it in Monday and we will look at it" 6.20.22 i took my car in at 7:20AM. After a few hours they called back and stated that there were additional errors and codes and that i was expected to pay for those repairs. i have the service reviews from the other 2 visits and none of them stated these new issues. When i tried to resolve issue with the dealership they were were not helpful.

I traded in my car on 3-25-22 for a new car with the understanding lincolnwood would payoff my old loan. It has been past the 21 days and they have not paid off my loan I have tried over 12 times in the past 3 days to reach someone and they either hang up on me or transfer the call and it rings forever.
