As a resident of a condo with kone elevators I can report the maintenance is extremely poor. They repeatedly fail inspections, strand residents, and need replacement after only 15 years. And the company doesnt seem to care. They should be closed down.Review from Robert D

KONE Elevators is a company I cannot recommend due to them having left senior citizens STRANDED in their apartments for almost 2 months. The apartment complex has been attempting to get them to fix the elevator since September and Kone charged them $26000 and went to fix it but "found 2 other parts broken" and would not fix it until after an additional $9000 was paid. Now they are saying the earliest they can get there is NOVEMBER 27th which will be a full 2 months since the problem began. Several residents in the complex have to use mobility aids and can not navigate stairs, including my wheelchair bound aunt-in-law.Review from Robina R

KONE has handled my elevator service for a number of years, and last year decided to send me a totally unjustified charge for the annual inspection always done in December each year with the city's inspector. The amount was almost twice the YEARLY normal service amount, over $2,000, with no justification or repair indicated, simply one word "labor". they had never done this before, and have simply ignored me, sending the amount involved to a collection agency.I consider their actions to be totally unethical, I have terminated their service, and strongly advise anyone who deals with them to be very careful.Review from Robin H

Our school district has been working with Kone to get our elevators safety inspection complete and monitoring set up for four months. The state inspector came out and we discoverd that the there was no comunication so it was yellow taged. Kone told us that they had been out to do the safety inspection and that they could remotely set up the dialers to comunicate. We could not access the safety inspection report becasues it was located in a box on top of the elevator that required Kone to unlock. I finely convinced them that we would not operate the elevator while it was yellow taged and basketball season is starting. If they could't take care of it we would get another company. Someone came out the next day. He opened the box with the safety inspection in it. It was dated 2020. The dialers were not pluged in so there has been no comunication. Not only that but the exisiting dialers will need to be replaced at our expense. Don't know how long that will take!! Kone charges a great deal for there service but they never follow through.
